I've foed a few people for behaving stupidly enough in games that it makes the game unplayable (e.g. suiciding when something they don't like happens). No point playing against people who're going to torpedo otherwise decent games.

In fact, you seem to be on my foe list. I assume the reason you're complaining is because you're such as ass hat to play against that most of the site has you blocked and you now have trouble getting games

There are 3,866 waiting games on the site. I find it very difficult to believe that you can't find a game in which nobody has you foed.

As an alternative, you can play exclusively tournament games. Tournament invites ignore the foe function.

I'm talking about RT games - And the suggestion that I be happy with tournament invites only and not being allowed to make use of the RT function after paying for it is ludicrous and demeaning.That is the exact form of bullying that the foe button reinforces and promotes - What am I paying for if I can't play RT games?

People who use the foe feature also pay, and do so to be able to enjoy the games they play here. If there are players who I dont want to play against, because they are rude, abusive, poor play, deadbeat, or other reasons that make the game less enjoyable, then those players are equally able to make it so they dont have to play with those people. So paying for the service really isn't a reason for anything becuase they also are paying for a service (which includes the foe feature). The reason you gave I dont think I've EVER used the foe feature for that reason. So clearly, there are more reasons to use it (whether or not you agree with that is something entirely different).

You talk about disrespect, but a lot of the people who get foed I'm sure have shown some sort of disrespect in order to find themselves placed there. It raises the enjoyment of the game for many by removing the potential of having to play vs those who make the site less enjoyable. If you couldn't foe someone, they could literally just "stalk" you on your games list and continually join game after game after game making it completely miserable for the person, and why would they stay? why would they continue to pay for a site that doesn't allow them to remove problem people? Some people, just dont get along. They both could be great people individually, but just not get along well.

I completely disagree that its bullying, disrespectful, or demeaning in anyway. If you find yourself on many foe lists, you may want to do some internal soul searching and find out why.

Chat foeing should (at most) only apply to a player's wall, never to Global Chat or Game Chat. The reason for this is that multi-person chat will suffer if even one chatter is unable to read all the chat. Free and clear conversation must trump a single fool's desire to bury his head in the sand.

A related issue that should be addressed is being allowed to opt out (or maybe opt in?) of the flawed Rating System. Only those that rate should be rated. Players that would rather have none of this political manipulation should be free of the burden. Furthermore, a rating should always be allowed to be changed. Otherwise one gets into an issue where a spiteful player rates badly, leaving the wronged player with no recourse to justice. Needless to add, the rating Medal should be completely revoked. Nothing medal-worthy about that.

I'm glad these issues are FINALLY be addressed. I have long brought thee issues up for informal discussion on Global Chat. I guess it took the heroic terrorism of Vale to finally get the slothful mods to make a move.

And for that matter, why isn't this thread listed under Suggestions. This is a clear case of a forum thread misapplied. Why don't one of those arrogant mods who are always moving threads for arbitrary whims (one in particular...) re-position this thread, and quickly too.

lolwut? no, just no. i don't want or need anybody else's permission to foe some random idiot. just separate game foeing from everything else(forums, GC, LC, PM's), so people can choose one or the other, or both. boom, simple, done.

I'm in favor of "enhancing" the foe system and would like to see it broken between games/chat/forums. All three, in my opinion, should be the default when you foe someone however the option to only block specific areas available.

This will be of significant help to the chat team specifically. We had to clear our foe lists when the merge with GC was made in order to be able to see all of the chat. For example this means that I can no longer block llama from joining my games in order to be able to track his good egg status throughout the day.

if it does stay, the people that use it should only be able to block you in games that they create not everyone's games.

From the monthly challenge prospective I think this would be a great change, the foe only works if you create the game. It has become a common tactic in the race for the top of the scoreboard to foe the other front runners in order to prevent them from joining enough games to beat you. To date my only response to these complaints has been you need to start your own games and hope there is enough interest in the challenge to fill both your games and the games joined ahead of you by your foe.
