I've foed a few people for behaving stupidly enough in games that it makes the game unplayable (e.g. suiciding when something they don't like happens). No point playing against people who're going to torpedo otherwise decent games.Vale_Abel wrote:The only serious enough reason to foe somebody is because they foed you

The only serious enough reason to foe somebody is because they foed you. I pay for the service and letting a random player decide weather I receive that service or not based on their emotional state at the time is not only unfair and unjust but quite possibly illegal. Let them grow a set like riskllama likes to say.
People who use the foe feature also pay, and do so to be able to enjoy the games they play here. If there are players who I dont want to play against, because they are rude, abusive, poor play, deadbeat, or other reasons that make the game less enjoyable, then those players are equally able to make it so they dont have to play with those people. So paying for the service really isn't a reason for anything becuase they also are paying for a service (which includes the foe feature). The reason you gave I dont think I've EVER used the foe feature for that reason. So clearly, there are more reasons to use it (whether or not you agree with that is something entirely different).Vale_Abel wrote:I'm talking about RT games - And the suggestion that I be happy with tournament invites only and not being allowed to make use of the RT function after paying for it is ludicrous and demeaning. That is the exact form of bullying that the foe button reinforces and promotes - What am I paying for if I can't play RT games?Dukasaur wrote:There are 3,866 waiting games on the site. As an alternative, you can play exclusively tournament games. Tournament invites ignore the foe function.

lolwut? no, just no. i don't want or need anybody else's permission to foe some random idiot. just separate game foeing from everything else(forums, GC, LC, PM's), so people can choose one or the other, or both. boom, simple, done.Thorthoth wrote:Game foeing should only apply if all players want another player foed. One disgruntled player shouldn't be allowed to foe on his own, unless it was two-player game of course.

From the monthly challenge prospective I think this would be a great change, the foe only works if you create the game. It has become a common tactic in the race for the top of the scoreboard to foe the other front runners in order to prevent them from joining enough games to beat you. To date my only response to these complaints has been you need to start your own games and hope there is enough interest in the challenge to fill both your games and the games joined ahead of you by your foe.Razorvich wrote:Thats all you needed to say Lord Vanion, they are good points. Nope, icepack is now foed. We need an extra, more enhanced foe experience!morleyjoe wrote:IcePack's comments on on the money every time in my opinion. Please leave it as it is.

Don't worry, I'll PM them to you.iAmCaffeine wrote:I think there should be an option to foe myself so I can stop playing games and I don't have to read posts of me being a cunt.

Games/Chat/Forums ?

WrongThorthoth wrote:Game foeing, maybe... but all communication foeing is stupid. and an opt-out of the rating system is necessary too. It's just bs.
Needless to say, game chat foeing should especially not be allowed.

Are you fuhrerious about it?Thorthoth wrote:Hmm, or just maybe... RIGHT!
BTW, Icy, are you the little Orwellian Minister of Truth (or one of them) that hid/deleted tons of historical, information-filled threads on the Forums in a most sudden and unilateral manner?
I know all the mods are in it for the power-tripping, but you are the most extreme and Hitleresque of them all.
