Well guess it was above ya. All apologies.

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

There are some that would put you on the flamer list. I don't know who ya are so I can't.
This post was made by jefjef who should be on your ignore list.

anarkistdream was also good for a laugh. the self-professed king of spelling soon got lost when somebody put a few correctly spelled words together though.

mustard, suggs, norse, bk barunt, herpes were all good flamers. nobody else is worth a mention and are the reason flame wars became boring, eventually leading to it's demise. well perhaps the_lion, 99.5% of his posts were complete rubbish but he did come out with a couple of decent flames.

Who said we're "buddies"? It just so happens that every thread i enter you come in spewing non-sensical bullshit that doesnt belong, and complaining about unfair treatement. Get over it, if you'd like you can have a completely seperate issue with me, because I am an entirely different individual than Fitz who can also see you are a if i may borrow...

Just keep your garbage into one thread so i dont have youre meaningless conflict in every thread i look in. You're making way too big a deal over an online gaming site. Here's a thought; stick to the games, then you wont have to deal with all the "passive aggressiveness" that everyone is somehow guilty of in these forums.

Sorry, didnt mean to off-topic this. I already posted my "flamers" of my preference, BK Barunt also had his moments, though it was often bashing the newcomers such as the infamous Honibaz, but still worthy of some recognition. He had some good ones with Saul(maybe that was his name? Only remember his avatar...) who was also the holder of some one-hit wonder flames back in the day.

Dm is still flaming, Prowler is still flaming, Flabio is still flaming, B;K Barunt is still flaming.....

Perhaps we should be more instrumental in our choices of flamers..

Lets get trekky..

As far as I can see it, Billy07, Khazalid, are old school flamers posting under their real identities right now. There is one, right now, (who we cannot name for copyright reasons) posting as we speak.

Did we hear a wicked chant from over there? Possibly not! But then again when you hang out with the surf merchant flamers, you suffer a Valhalla entrance..

Here is to the old school flamers! They seek them here and they seek them there..

By Odin we miss the Sidi Portsmouth voice..

As i said, I never was into the flame war discussion, just browsed for some comedic relief from time-to-time. Wouldnt want to ruin the memories by making a fool of myself, im a pretty positive person most of the time. ;)

You would not have lasted long, it was a cut throat environment populated by dirty rotten scoundrels. We all fed off of the left over diseased blood that the idiot savant 14 year olds left crumbling in their dried=up ruined royal virginal arse creaks.

Life was easy in those days, our air traffic controller was called wicked, and if any shot down planes came into the radar, she sent them our way..

In those day's Moderator's lazed around in circle jerks complementing each others nail varnish, and at the first sign of anarchy they moved the thread onto us.. The Flame division..

We were Darwinian, the process was the survival of the fittest. In our hung little parliament with the mods, we together achieved an unstable peace process for almost over a year...

Actually, you'd have done just fine Gold Knight. The flamers simply never had a chance against those that didn't lose control and had any shred of decency. It was like fishing in a barrel for the most part. Most simply posted that they were good at it hoping someone would actually believe it at some point. It was indeed the survival of the fittest, and one by one, they have been killed off, and it will continue until they are all gone. :D

To be honest, thats how it always seemed to me. There really was never any "new blood" into FW unless they had direct approval from one of the long-time flamers. Anyone who actually used the forum to trash opponents was belittled on a rediculous basis, and it seemed that most of the threads circulated on the repetitive bashing of those who had made a fool of themselves in the previous threads. FW was alot of searching to find that one comment that would actually make you laugh out loud or cringe, but for the most part was a string of vulgarities and penis jokes... which do sometimes have their place. =D

Fitz, you never made the scene in FW, bluster away with your version of the events.

This is your home ground, here in GD. It is nice to touch base with your tainted perception of the deeds of a yesteryear elsewhere, semi-nostalgic, but generally untrue.

There were also some, maybe many in the day that would actually foe people when they disagreed with a forum post, or if they were made to look foolish, which happened a lot, and then foe them, and then unfoe them, and then foe them again, and then unfoe in a rather silly cycle of futility. They were more or less about the same as the ones that blamed everyone else for in equity and everyone else for their failures, but took it a step further by running away at the first site of being bested. It was quite funny to see really back in the day.

Like many, I actually miss the flame wars at times, except for the vast improvement their removal has meant to the site.

Sounds like they all hurt your feelings when they foed you so they wouldn't have to see the text walls.

Yes, usually it was a bunch of bullies just looking for some weak prey, invariably to find that they were outmatched by those who fought bullies for fun, and not matter how they tried they could not win.

There will always be bullies, but there will always be those that fight them, and in the end, the bullies will always lose. Always. You can see the remnants now trying so hard to continue, some in a near panic or frenzy to do so, but only to burn themselves out one by one, powerless to control themselves, and their own fate.

Actually, I had quite a bit of fun making some flamers look very foolish indeed and hardly ever needed to actually flame to do so...well, not usually anyways. typically, quoting what flamers said themselves was all that was necessary. Youd be amazed at the memory of some and the things they will say, only to have it completely turned around on them with actual facts. Sure, maybe thats not as fun as saying "your mama's twice as fat as you said mine was last tuesday when you were pretending you were having relations with her which would upset me so much"...but it was enjoyable nonetheless.
