If your gatorade bottle can fill out all the forms and stuff, sure.
I'm assuming your gatorade bottle is not a child, however.

Bottlesexuals are disgusting abominations, and shouldn't be allowed to marry trash. Marrying a full gatorade bottle is perfectly OK, of course.

Jay_a2j, the doom-speaker! When is the sky going to fall? Has it been held up the whole time? Or maybe it doesn't need being held up and physical laws alone can explain cosmology.
So we have been piggy-backing on God's great glory this whole time. All the great accomplishments of this nation are inextricably linked to God's will when he decided in the 18th century to help America achieve independence so it could be the chosen nation, leaving Canada in the dust, and become world super power by the 20th century. It will be time to pay the piper soon because those HOMOSEXUALS whom GodHATES so much are not openly DESPISED by the majority of the country anymore, but by a large, IGNORANT minority
who are blinded by their FUNDAMENTALIST religious doctrine which offers no compromise with God's supposed will.
Get an education and stop depriving our nation's children of the right to learn science because you feel threatened by knowledge or HOMOSEXUALS.
If you happen to find yourself in a compromising situation with a HOMOSEXUAL, just try to sleep on your back to minimize your anal exposure.
If you happen to find yourself in a conversation with an atheist or agnostic, just keep telling yourself that they are demons and don't listen to their devil logic. It was designed by Satan to lure you away from the flock of the chosen. Keep repeating verses from the Koran/Bible. Look in the mirror - you are the same. Fundamentalist Christianity is logically equivalent to fundamentalist Islam. Virtually the same religion anyway - both cheap knockoffs of Judaism.
Christianity is only big in the west because of sociopolitical events dating from around the end of the Roman empire, not because they believe in the one true God.

First, I don't understand gay relationships. But why would I have to? I wouldn't be in one, but to each their own.
Secondly who are we to say they shouldn't be married? Does God say this? Yes? Doesn't God also say you shouldn't judge others?
God says a whole lot of things, in a whole lot of books, that are written by Man, they were not written by God himself. If you take all of the bibles, kurans etc they all differ in what their particular god says. So which one is right? They cant all be right can they?
Look I get everyone's points & opinions but the only laws our government should be making are those that "protect" our people, not hinder them. Example: I am a smoker & I support the no smoking in public laws because this "Protects" our people.
However I do not support the unfair Tax that is placed on cigarettes because this hinders my wallet.
If your religions belief is that gay people shouldn't marry than that's fine, don't be gay. But who says yours is the only religion or the religion that is the right religion? I am not saying your religion is wrong, but don't tell me its right or the only way either.
And certainly do not make or pass laws based on religion because I may not have the same religion you do.
We are supposed to be living in a FREE country, meaning whether your black, white, hispanic, male, female, gay, straight or whatever, we should have ALL of the same rights as any other citizen. It baffles me in this day & age where this country is going. We have a black president & yet Gay people are being treated almost the same as black people 50 years ago. Some of the laws we have today are so ridiculous and so Faith based its pathetic. It does not take Faith to know common sense. It takes common sense to know common sense.
To the point, You don't have to believe or have faith to be a good human being. No matter what your faith, treat others equally, live your life, not perfect, but as a decent human being & you will be the better person for it. Quit worrying about what others private lives entail.
Nobody is perfect, nor will anyone ever be. If your religion is right, than God will sort it out, not us.
Peace

That hardly sounds like equality. It seems that adults are given a special, privileged status in society to have a job or own a home. Children should have the same rights as everyone else. Open it up for everyone to have equal accessibility for everything.

Although I disagree with your assertion that the Bible is "written by man" (another debate for another time), the rest of what you say is absolutely true.
Furthermore, we need to remember WHY religious freedom is such a fundamental issue here in the US. It is because, even within each church, there is little agreement. We have just seen some hoopla over electing the first black (or part black-- again, another discussion). Few of us are old enough to remember that there was a similar, only slightly milder, hoopla over electing the first Roman Catholic President -- namely Kennedy.
If we begin allowing religion to decide what is correct and incorrect through laws, then the question is who's religion. If, as Jay asserts, this is a Christian nation, then the question is which "brand" of Christianity. Are we to be Roman Catholic? While I absolutely support their right to live and be, I do not intend to become Roman Catholic and certainly do not want them telling me that I have to live my life by their (narrow) rules. Is Dr Dobson, the whole new "evangelical" movement to decide? If so, is it the "green" branch -- the branch that believes harming the Earth God gaves us is a sin against God? Or is it the branch that says believing the Bible means you think the Earth is only a few thousand years old? Is it the "mainline" Protestant churchs -- the Methodists, Presbyterians, Lutherans, etc?
THAT is the real, fundamental issue Jay and others wish to ignore. When you claim you have the right to dictate to someone else, then you give that same right to others when they reach power. And, power does change. Beyond that, I, of course, do disagree with many of Jay's assertions about what Christianity entails.. but that belongs in other threads (again...)
