again, this is the attitude that keeps many people from going to the foundry in the first place. why not just close off the vote to only those you deem knowledgeable enough to cast informed votes? why not just create some foundry council where all the important decisions are made. because even when the community speaks out, you ignore them and declare things need to be changed (i.e.-map updates that many members still don't like and still don't feel were necessary).
i respect what goes on in the foundry, and i know how hard you all work and what you give to CC. however, i rarely venture there, because of the attitudes often encountered. and many people i speak to on a regular basis feel the same way. hard to feel as if you are a part of something, when often times, popular opinion is just ignored. some went to voice displeasure in the Brit Isles revamp when it first began, and simply were ignored as not being knowledgeable enough to make an informed opinion.
if you want to truly embrace the community and ask for real opinions, than do so. excluding people isn't going to help. if you take that step, than why not do as i suggested earlier?
simply create a foundry council that decides all the important aspects of the current maps going through the process. the black jesus has spoken...-0
p.s.-and who is to say that the maps that won aren't better than the 2 that you liked? simply your opinion...
