I mean we even literally lynched Misa, and the death that should have happened didn't. Not only did Ryuk stay alive, but Rem did as well -- and he got another Note. That's like three heavy hits against the town, with three people who could have/should have died staying quite alive.
So, what can I say except for there was essentially no way for the majority of scum to lose. Congratulations?

Shouldn't it cost you your life to save Misa?
/ wrote:I personally thought it was pretty balanced,
The only think town had to do was lynch two people technically, Light and Misa, one person would theoretically have to die to take down Misa, as Rem was in the game.
After MM getting his death note stollen, the threat of day kills not only subsided, but Misa was out in the open, everyone with common sense should have known who she was, though there were a few pro-kira peole left in the game, With MM's help a lynch would have been very possible, if you all didn't deadbeat!![]()
For scum to win, Only Three people would have to die, L, Near and Mello, all with powerful pro-town roles, also for L to die, Watari would most likely have to be out of action as well.
I actually thought it might be harder on the Pro-kira faction with so many mason groups around, if Kira wasn't careful, he would kill his own followers every night, in fact I' don't quite remember if Mandy succeeded in recruiting anyone during the game.
I think the real balancing force is Ryuk, who was not informed of anyone's win conditions, (though he could have asked Light for one) his secret job is to prevent any win for seven days, which means if he knew light's goal, he'd be sure to try and keep atleast one of the three alive, perhaps killing Light or other pro-kira himself.
Sorry if I messed up the game for you all, but thanks for playing anyways, it was fun modding.

You couldn't have saved Misa directly, otherwise you would have died.
Looking at our roles, we were always going to win, although you could have made the inevitable slightly easier by trying to help me!

What a load of twaddle! Do you have any idea how difficult it was convincing mandy (Kira) that I was on his/her side, while simultaniously killing both Pro-Kiras and townies for my own benefit? Things got even harder when Rem bloody stole my death note, and I still turned the game my way.
Anyway, this was one of the most enjoyable mafia games I've played, and thanks to all.
/ wrote:The point I was trying to insinuate with this game was there were almost no differences between "Good" or "Bad" players, the traditional advantage against town a mafia has is the aspect of a "informed minority" with this valuable tool, Mafia can avoid killing each other such as what happens when factions are introduced or when town kills town.
But in this game scum were trying just as hard to figure out who was town, as town was trying to figure out who was scum, both sides had one recruiter, representing the "salvation" the characters see in their supporting side, town had three sane Moral investigators and two useless ones to balance it, the killing roles on their side had to be careful on whom to trust, aswell as a tracker and several mason alliances.
for the other faction, while there are many killing roles, they also must be more careful about how to use them for fear of killing a role that their goal relies on, thus making their roles void until late in the game.
also I believed Ryuk to be one of the hardest roles in the game to win as, since if all killing roles actively used their powers, there would be an average of four or more kills a day, try making the game last then. I initially intended him to be sort of a killer hunter, so as to make the fast paced game go slower.
I really believe this game might have been played extremely differently if everyone was active, which is why I tried to enforce a no exception policy on missing days.
