we cannot see the ratings until the game is archived.... so every few days your ratings will change instead of every finished game.

it says it in the section entitled "ratings" might be a good read if you have questions on ratings..........lol

Any way, I thought i heard lack saying something about being able to go back into archived games leaving ratings for those who youve played with in the past for something like 3 days or something?

Anyone hear what happened or even hear about this at all or am just drinking too much :?:

And I thought we were going to keep the comments left for us before and have the option to delete them.
Where are they?
So far im not liking that new system, its just like ebay but it misses the best part: the comments.

basically CC doesnt want to spend the time moderating them!! its a case of to many players whinnig about what feedback they have been given. then that fucks it up for the rest of us....grrr

well, rating system does lack the comments that justifies the ratings that are given. the wall is just too unreliable as it is self-moderated so anything bad can be removed which means we never really know if a rating is accurate or not.

I keep getting different amounts of ratings that I can leave.

One moment it says ' You can leave ratings for 65 members! '
The next it says ' You can leave ratings for 103 members! '

?

Same
You can leave ratings for 730 members!
You can leave ratings for 403 members!

Where does it say this ?
("You can leave ratings for X members!")

At the moment I can only find a way in to leave ratings via the "recently finished" tab.
I'd like to leave ratings for all those I have previously left feedback for which, as others have noted, is mentioned in the General Discussion thread that preceded this update ... Not sure if it's actually mentioned in the update announcement ...

I think it depends on how many games are in your "Recently Finished" and "Eliminated". Once they are archived then you cannot leave ratings for them. maybe some of your games were archived recently.

This new system blows.

I just broke 300 positives with no negatives for nothing.

u can still view them...go to your profile under the view ratings is a view feedback. that will stay there frozen for several months...then the mods are looking at transferring it over

You can still see all feedback if you go to a users profile and select that option. The ratings will seem better once the system cycles, and everyone has numbers instead of n/a.

Yeah, but the whole concept is stupid, where over two years of past efforts is thrown into the bin for this new crappy one.

If the old system was intergrated into the new one, then it may mean something. But it doesn't.

The only advantage is to new players and bad players.

the old feedbacks will be integrated once the new system is in effect and all the kinks worked out

"integrated" ??

I was under the impression that old feedbacks are obsolete... :
Copy paste : "We'll figure out how to drop feedback for good at a later date, in consultation with the community."
No more feedback.

Anyway, I have a strange feeling that our wonderful new star system will average out between 3.5 and 4.5 stars for majority of players. If that happens..., how is that going to help replace Old Feedback?

might be a bit early to tell but it doesn't seem like an improvement for me. I never got a neg comment but it wouldn't have bothered me if they'd all been negative. what i liked about the system was the insight it gave me to other players. it was also a source of entertainment - especially the really bitchy stuff. brinkmanship, sledging, goading - hey that's cricket. why not risk as well?

Dear CC,

I was a big fan of the previous comments system - it enabled players to be quite creative and humourous if they wished and to make comments that were meaningful for the recipient, players who were considering joining a game with the recipient and of course for the player leaving the comment to refer to if playing the same player again. It was also full of rants, insults and nonsense - most of which was either simple to ignore if easily offended and often entertaining for those of us who aren't.

While I respect all at CC for the hard work they put in making this site a lot of fun (hells teeth! - I like it enough to pay for it) and completely understand why you would not want to have to moderate the comments system ( I certainly wouldn't envy the task); the new 'star' system is dull and meaningless and I shall only be using it to guess how well each player flips burgers.

I would suggest a return to the comments system in a form which wouldn't require moderation.

Verdict: 1/5 stars

The new system is going to be a lot worse, when you come across a player in a game who plays badly he will go straight to foe list, you have no way of checking why you put him there and this is going to cause private messages getting sent all over asking to be took off. I understand the amount of work involved in feedback moderation but thats what we pay for, why should the customer suffer because the shop cant keep up with demand!!

CC implemented the feedback system to try and make it fair for everyone and so they dont have to moderate players (which takes up to much time). I earn $25 in an hour so really your paying peanuts. i do prefer the old sytem but it just wasnt pracitcal!
