Thats bloody harsh...In Italy you can riot and shout racist chants and then receive a promotion...
Yes, and, generally speaking, Philadelphia fans are considered the least well-behaved fans in the United States.
Reminded me of this Aussie show I've been watching on Youtube recently -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4AWevH2 ... re=relatedAparently the Bulldogs have that reputation in Australia so they made a comedy out of it, awesome.

yesterday it snowed in London at 4pm. it had rained earlier in the day and i didn't expect it to settle. It snowed like crazy. huge snowflakes. It settled.
I left my job working at the British Museum at 4pm and drove home. my home is 10 miles away. it took me 3 hours 40 minutes to drive those 10 miles. unreal traffic, even for London. total chaos.

BigBallinStalin wrote:It's battery, not assault. Knowing the law is very important if you'd like to avoid trouble if you happen to get into or for other reasons.
An assault is:
1. An unlawful attempt, coupled with apparent ability, to commit a violent injury on the person of another; or
2. An intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent.
A battery is any:
1. Willful and unlawful use of force or violence upon the person of another; or
2. Actual, intentional and unlawful touching or striking of another person against the will of the other; or
3. Unlawfully and intentionally causing bodily harm to an individual.
http://definitions.uslegal.com/a/assault-and-battery/I'd be surprised if Common Law in the UK defined these two terms differently from the US's.
In England and Wales, a common assault is "any act by which a person intentionally or recklessly causes another person to apprehend immediate and unlawful and personal violence", while a battery is "any act by which a person, intentionally or recklessly
inflicts unlawful personal violence upon another person."
Thus throwing a snowball at someone for the purpose of hitting them is a battery if the snowball strikes the person, and is an assault if the snowball misses.

In college chem, assault is a mineral primarily made of NaCl, and battery is a container of chemicals that holds energy.
This is why I'm not in law school...

If I were still in LA I'm pretty sure the LAPD would not have a sense of humor about it. I think in San Francisco I would probably be arrested and possible physically assaulted.

A large amount of snow gets me out of work. You'd think I'd love snow for that.
But no...snow sucks. It's the one and only downside to moving back to Nebraska.

Well luckily I'm going down south for a month, starting tomorrow. And by "down south" I mean about 100 miles or so.

The only time I'll be leaving here in the near future is Hawaii in April but there isn't any snow here anyway!

Had an inch of snow Saturday night, threw my first snowball of the season and promptly got thrown out of the pub. No sense of humour that barman.

That would make the throwing of a snowball quite awesome.

Thank you for that rather in depth insight into the snow composition.
One of my favorite snow descriptions...and its been a while...is that there is a word for powder, that then gets a 1" crust of ice on it. I believe the word is swiss...but could be german or french...but means; "cuts the legs of deer"
It is not a skiers favorite snow typically. Ill bet the deer dont love it either.
Someone help me out with the name though.
Also, youre an idiot if you throw a snowball at a cop, or any stranger, and sometimes even someone you know.
