when i use to go to City away games we use to throw snowballs at the Dennis all the time. if there was a lot of snow, the Dennis would be raided by a shit load of snowballs.

good times.

In Hong Kong, it never snows, same for (extreme) southern China, where I occasionally visit.
In Canada, I guess I might get beaten up and arrested (ex.charged with "assault"), but not sure about getting tased. There has been several taser incidents in Canada though.

I should of asked a copper on Saturday night. There were loads outside my flat.
Though I think they had their hands full with the 3 blokes that had been stabbed.

btw, there's still some snow here, so if anyone feels like paying my fine and the possible costs of hiring a lawyer I could do an experiment and find out what happens.

It just started snowing here, really heavy. I need to find me a copper walking the street.
(some chance, they all seem to be in cars late a night - a sure fire way to stop street crime and prevent trouble. Berks)

Where I am you'd get arrested, depending on your age and were you were. That being said, the U.S. is a big country, I'm sure there's some small little town in Nebraska, were you would have a snowball fight on your hands. That's why I voted for snow ball fight, cause I wished I lived in that sort of town.

Cops will find any way to abuse their position, including breaking the law knowing that the courts will support them. If you threw a snowball at a cop consider yourself lucky if you just get tackled, handcuffed and arrested.

Do you want us to vote for what they should/are supposed to do, or what they actually would do?

I think it could be considered assault on a police officer, but I don't think that the police would take it that seriously. At most, it would probably just tick them off a little and they would sternly ask you not to do it again, unless they are in a truly pissy mood. Also, in the city of Troy, the police have way more to worry about than getting hit by snowballs (although I'm more along the outskirts).

I think most the cops in my town would be cool about it but that might be because its a fairly peaceful town with no one having any great problem with them. Of course if theres about 5 of you just picking on one of them and harassing them then it might be different...
Btw, I love how much journalists get abused when its snowing. Why do they always do their live reports next to where the kids are playing in the snow?

If you throw any snowballs at Lincoln Financial Field during an Eagles game, you can apparently lose your season tickets (which, incidentally, you paid a substantial sum for).

It's battery, not assault. Knowing the law is very important if you'd like to avoid trouble if you happen to get into or for other reasons.
An assault is:
1. An unlawful attempt, coupled with apparent ability, to commit a violent injury on the person of another; or
2. An intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent.
A battery is any:
1. Willful and unlawful use of force or violence upon the person of another; or
2. Actual, intentional and unlawful touching or striking of another person against the will of the other; or
3. Unlawfully and intentionally causing bodily harm to an individual.
http://definitions.uslegal.com/a/assault-and-battery/I'd be surprised if Common Law in the UK defined these two terms differently from the US's.

If I open the door and scare trick-or-treaters, I can be arrested. Fucking fantastic.

Yes, and, generally speaking, Philadelphia fans are considered the least well-behaved fans in the United States.

I like to make those nice juicey
slush-balls so that when you hit someone in the back of the head with it all that chilly, frosty semi-liquid runs straight down the person's back under their jacket. Sure your gloves may get wet but it's well worth it.
