I'm fine with making the victory condition difficult, especially given the possible drops in 2/3 player games.

work out the white color with the graphics people. The way you have described the split region in the inset map works but it looks like crud... again, I'll let the graphics folks deal with that.

move along.

the change in the sea colour is a step in the right direction, though i prefer the water to have even less magenta in it than just now.

i don't know whether having great britain on the map is an improvement. would it look better if it was replaced by water?

for the bordering states, rather than solid brownish colours, try using white with a bright-coloured inner glow for each continent, like the ireland map.

http://www.conquerclub.com/maps/Ireland.S.jpg

this will preserve an immediately-obvious visual difference between empire continents (which are solid colours) and non-empire continents.

To me there is no megenta in it but I'll check

I must say I prefer it like this and as it is clearly not a playable part of the map I prefer to keep it.

gimil wrote:The "white" coloured continent im uphappy with. The colour dosnt sit well with the rest of the maps colour scheme. I feel it needs to be made a colours the same density of the far east continent so that it balances the scheme your using.

Ireland map doesn't fit anymore in the coloblind policy of this comunity, I'm allready trying to do a similar map (France 1789) but it is a real fight. From the beginning this map has been based on full color regions. The difference was based on color vs grey-brownish regions for empire and bordering states. But I cannot use the East Europe tone as you wouldn't know where it end between Prussia and Danmark. Again I'll work on it and try to do better with it without changing the entire color scheme.

I really don't like how Britain is floating there. Could you at make it solid, but fill with a grey color so it's clearly not playable?

They were thought as bright as armies are because if I fade them, their color tend to be difficult to distinguish.

Britain again, well what I can do is adding a border line but I cannot fill it, I allready try it and it seems playable.
But if it is still an issue then I'll remove it as it was in some previous version.

1) Like most people have said, the cannons are a little big
2) I like the mountains, but they all look to much alike
3) could u make the bridges blend into the land more at the ends?

I will try smaller but on the small map they will be very small.

What do you mean by that ?

I'll try.

I think he wants more variation in orientation and size, regarding the mountains, as the majority of them seem to be from the same base image (if they are different at all).

Do you really think I should spend an entire day redoing all the mountains ?

my first look at this map i actully mistake the black continent as the backround could you make it more visible that it isint a part of the background?

And to fix the montion issue most people as stated i think its a easy fix on that problem. (I like the montions) I dont see any need for the montion above permont i think you should move it...

Sorry, but what are you talking about ?!?
Should I read mountains for montion and Piemont for permont ?
If it is the case then the mountains above Piemont are where the Mont Blanc sits (you know the highest mountain of Europe).
So I think it will remain.
About fixing the problem, tell me how!

It has no real purpose, and to many of the mountains is placed on one place. And thats why most is complaining about look alike.

Hmm no. Didint know you was useing a well know mountain there. To bad i think that ruins the map a bit well then i you have to make other mountains nothing else to do:(

that's a very good reason to keep the mountains! it must also be the reason why piemont has that name (pied = foot, mont = mountain).

And by the way "Schweizerische Eidgenossenchaft" mean Helvetic Confederation the official name of Switzerland which is surrounded by mountains, as you surely know. And as I'm swiss I'm quite touchy about being precise about it.

mibi wrote:The continents have no names, which is kinda lame.

I agree but I do not have any nice names for them, as now they are:
    Four empire "regions":
    - HRE north.....territories=9.....bonus=4
    - HRE west......territories=7.....bonus=3
    - HRE south.....territories=5.....bonus=3
    - HRE east.......territories=8.....bonus=5
    Three bordering states "regions"
    - Europe west...territories=4.....bonus=3
    - Europe south..territories=5.....bonus=3
    - Europe east...territories=4.....bonus=2
any suggestions also about where to put them
