Because Christian is the only one that already had a shortened name for it, would be my guess. he didn't come up with a brand new fucking thing by saying X=Christ.... But neither I nor you have ever seen one for another religion.

As long as everyone knows what it means (and in this case they do) thats fine! Nothing disparaging about the religion at all! I don't bother to capitalize when I feel the post has less worth or less intellectual parity. For example, check earlier posts in this thread. I capitalize fine. However, when people put up dumb posts about how writing "xians" is some deep psychological sign indicative about our fear and hatred of Christianity and Christ, then it is not worth my time to bother to capitalize fully. And btw, )ism for Muslim makes no sense, whereas xianity makes perfect sense. Hold back on your psychological examinations until you get your degree.
