what was once North Africa,
is now home to the famous architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
Stick with me people, this gets good, i promise...
van der Rohe moved from Germany to USA just before WWII broke out...
Living in the Chicago area he designed many buildings and helped pioneer the new "International Style"

Well most of you may think you don't know this guy,
but surely you have seen the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off
We all remember the Ferrari crash scene... out the glass wall and into the trees
Well that house, the house of Cameron Frye's father, was designed by our very own van der Rohe...
well, technically it was designed by 2 of his students, but hey!

Tell me you remember that garage... tell me you remember that Ferrari...
Ohhhhhh.... a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California..............................

....................................................................................
.......... oh sorry, i was day dreaming...............
Okay, back on topic... it's really the house i'm talking about...
You see, my friends...this house is for sale... read it for yourself...

I keep up with these things because i'm into the preserving of old and special homes...
well, not actually ME preserving them, but without preservation societies like the one I belong to many of these homes would be demolished to make room for McMansions and shopping centers... so we work together to ensure that this doesn't happen...
Well to the point, as i said this would get interesting.... a preservation society friend of mine in Chicago knows i love CC (they don't get it, but we all know what that feels like, right) anyway... i now have it on good authority that an offer was just presented this morning by a Realtor representing none other than our very own beloved La*k!
Seems a partcular Canadian turtle *can't say his name* fancies this home and has the cash to make it happen...
And with his computers facing those views, we are sure to see more timely updates... well, either that or the view will distract the heck out of him and everything will take longer... but i'm willing to take that chance providing he hosts a monthly saturday night game in that very garage...
I will go on record as saying i think this is great... La*k deserves the fruits of success for what he has created and built here...
This is actually a somewhat small home... the garage is the best part, really... but there is a nice living room

and there are 4 bedrooms and 4 baths... all situated on a 3/4 acre wooded lot.
one final note... Please please please do not share this outside of this forum until the sale is final... these things are not supposed to become public until after they close escrow and everything is finalized...
EDIT: my apologies to all for giving a bit too much personal info about ****. And thanks to the mods for their understanding and allowing me to tweek things into compliance... You guys are great!
