Rival Tribes Mafia FULL pms being sent

Post by Simon Viavant »

I'm going to try somthing I haven't seen done before.
It's a bit like a cult game, but not really.
There's no "town" faction in this game, just four rival "tribes", which function a bit like mafia, with some members of each tribe having special abilities. (Of course each tribe has a nightkill) There will also be a few unaffiliated people with their own win conditions.
Each tribe has a Leader, and the tribe whose leader is the last one alive wins.
Each tribe will probably have some common roles like investigator, doctor, roleblocker, etc, each tribe will also have a Messenger to negotiate with other tribes at night and possibly form truces, plot, etc.
There will probably be 2 lynches every day so more of the game will be decided by lynchings.

Hopefully it will be fairly bit, possibly up to 25.

Unfortunately ther'es been a rush of new games. With our rather small base of players this might not get enough players.

Interesting concept but maybe needs to wait until this rush of games dies down

I started mine before most signups, and it really hasn't been filling fast anyways.

put me in, but I'm agreeing with the common vibe here. hold it off until these new games are finishing up.

I figured most of the games would be finished by the time I got enough players, if I somehow get lots of poeple before then I'll hold off a bit.

I think you need to cut down on the needed number of players (like in half) are flesh out how the game will work better, possibly post the rules...

I guess I could reduce it to 20 or even 17 - 18, but half isn't gonna work, with 3-4 kills every night. ( I guess everyone could only kill every other night)

The rules, I was waiting to post since they'll be the same as the rules are in every game in this forum, but if you insist:

1) Bold all your votes and unvotes
2) No meaningful discussion at night
3) No quoting the mod's PMs, paraphrasing is OK
4) Do what the mod says and don't be a little twerp
5) You can end the day with a no lynch if >1/2 the people vote that way
6) A lynch is reached when >1/2 the people vote for a certain individual

For the game mechanics, it would kinda kill it if I gave a detailed account of how it would work right now.

This sounds like an interesting game to play, but I'm in too many games at the moment. I don't want to take on another game right now.

I volunteer.
The messengers sound like an interesting conflict of interest mason group. Of course, you have it balanced.
