- Settings are not concrete. After each season, maps may be reevaluated and new maps may be added. As well, the number of divisions may change.[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Set Up]This is a 6 player tournament based on the (2 Player) League. All games are standard, sequential, escalating, with either chained or adjacent fortifications, and no fog. In each season, you will play 42 games, 2 against each group of 5 players in your division. 7 of these games will be on your home map and settings. At the end of each season, players will be promoted/relegated based on their positions, with new divisions being formed if there is sufficient interest.
To start, I will take 32 players and divide them into two tiers of 16, and each tier into two divisions (Alpha and Omega). Players on the same tier (ie. Alpha 1 and Omega 1) are assumed to play at roughly the same level. At the end of each season, the top three players from the lower divisions will be promoted, and the bottom three from the top divisions will be relegated. Then both tiers will be shuffled (with the winning players of Alpha 1 and Omega 1 staying in different divisions) and a new season will begin. Between seasons, players may change their map and settings.
In the first weeks, you will play 3 games a week. If things go smoothly and I find that players are able to finish faster than that, then game load may be increased. At this rate, a season should take about 3 months to complete.[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Scoring]The season will be balanced, so that you will play as close to half of your home games in the first half as possible. The player with the most points at the end of a season will be crowned the winner.
Winning a game gives you 1 point. There are no points for any other place. If a game last more than 25 rounds, then no winner is declared. Ties are broken as follows:- head-to-head matches
- opponent's scores
If a player drops out during a round or is removed, then a suitable player will be enlisted to finish their games. The enlisted player will be removed at the end of the round, and an extra promotion will be made if necessary. The usual relegations will still apply.[/spoiler]
