The Timminz Tournament [Winner: Pheonix.bradley]

Post by barterer2002 »

So here's the idea. In honor of my fellow clanmate [player]Timminz[/player]

All games are played on Canada. In each round the winner advances as well as the player who hold Timmins the most turns. (until the finals when you have to actually-you know-win the games).

FREEMIUMS ARE WELCOME

Number of players: 64
Map: Canada
Forts: Adjacent
Cards: Escalating
Fog: Off
Play: Sequential

Round 1 will consist of 8, 8 player games.
For Round 2 we will have somewhere from 8 to 16 players remaining. Here is what the games will look like depending on the number of players left
    16-4 4 player games
    15 3 5 player games
    12 3 4 player games
    11 1 5 player and 1 6 player game
    10 2 5 player games
    9 1 5 player and 1 4 player game
    8 2 4 player games.

Round 3 will have from 4 to 8 players remaining and they will play one game for the finals.

For Rounds 1 and 2 players who win advance as well as the player who hold Timmins the most turns (measured from the start of the turn). Game assignments will be randomized each round with larger games filling first (so if there are 11 player I'll randomize the 11 names with names 1-6 playing a 6 player game and 7-11 playing a 5 player game).

Let the battles begin

Interesting ... I'll give this a try. I find it amusing how many of us have replied to this before Timminz, too.

hey bart, id like in please because i like the concept however...not sure how the scoring is going to go....when u say the start of the turn does that mean the start of the turn of the person holding it or the start of the round because that would give an unfair advantage to the person who goes last in the round as they wouldn't have to wait/hold as long as people in the beginning of the rotation. Just curious :)

I'll join, if for no other reason, then to get some hot Timminz on Timmins action.

I didn't want to go unlimited because I didn't want someone to just load up the Timmins region with everything they had from all over.

Its holding it at the start of that player's turn. Similar to any of the objective based maps it does give all the other players a chance to unseat them in the meantime. There is a slight advantage if you drop Timmins and go first but on the other hand dropping Timmins also makes you an early target so I think that's mitigated.
