6 Player Standard Escalating Championship[player][/player][player][/player]
Welcome singles players to this tournament devoted entirely to the art of escalating cards! Registration will be open for a week and I will accept around as many who register in that time (to make the numbers even and divisible by 6, the last few might go onto reserve).
The goal is simple: win as many games as you can. Each game won adds a point to your total. Divisions will be made based on seeding, and will be made up of 6 players. At the end of 12 games played in your division , the 3 in each division with the least points will be eliminated and the 3 with the most will move on. There will be tiebreaker games and some wildcards to make the numbers evenly divisible into divisions of 6. The rounds will continue, with (usually) half of the players eliminated each round, until the final 6 - where we will determine the champion of 6 player standard escalating!
Maps: Each round will have 2 or 3 different maps, except the finals which will be played on Classic. Most games will be played on the Classic map, but there may be some games on the following maps: Africa, Alexander's Empire, Europe, Middle Earth, British Isles and USA.
Fortifications: Each round, there will be 2 or 3 (depending) of each type of fortification: chained, unlimited, adjacent.
All games will be sequential and 3 or 4 will be played at one time! Players must be premium!

How many games at once? I understand that more than 4 because freemiums aren't allowed but it might be 5 games, 10 games or whatever number at once. Any idea?
"Thou shalt accept thy dice rolls as the will of the Gods" (Church of Gaming) "amazzony is a beast" (Woodruff)
And you didn't ask for input, but I'll give mine anyway. ... I think I larger number of games would be better before an elimination (like 12 instead of 6, as the numbers given in your post)... It just gives the better players a chance to rise to the top.
As for maps, I will try to make them all good ones for standard escalating. Most games will be Classic, but there may be some of the following: Africa, Alexander's Empire, Europe, Middle Earth, British Isles and USA. If anyone has any other suggestions for appropriate maps I will review them.
Chadwick31 - We will most likely be playing 12 games. 6 was only there in case I needed that number but I would prefer to have 12 as well.
steve066 - thats a good thought, and I will take down player's scores on registration just in case. It might be better to have even divisions through seeding so luck plays less of a part in this tournament.
