There are some concerns about re-using a closed setup. Most of them lie in the claiming of roles and/or flavour. Knowing what things were in the original game will undoubtedly influence how people respond to roleclaims - or abilityclaims - in the subsequent game.

So if you want to make this a true semiopen (because what you are describing is not how people would usually use the term semiopen) I'd say that X out of Y roles appear in the game and replace the other roles with vanillas.

I still foresee some issues but eh, never hurts to try.
