They are the new snapshots that Wham has been working on that now take a snap after every players turn and at the beginning of the game.

You have to load chat first. Then you can see all snaps, not only the latest. So press "load entire chat" on the chat page

The snaps have always been great, and I like the snap afterwards, but in quad games it does it 4 times for each player....so a little fixing in order???

A snap is short for "snapshot", a picture of what the board looked like earlier in the game.

For years people have been asking for snaps to be automated, instead of having to take them manually. It is probably the most-requested feature on the site, finally being implemented.

Sorry if you're in the minority that doesn't like it, KB. Unfortunately for you, this is one of the rare times that the majority on this site is getting its way.

Funny ..... Except for the opening board ....... I always had an auto snap after my move that I could refer to ...... suppose this will help folks who play lots of games, can now see what happens after everyone's move (if not FOW) ... Didn't think BOB worked anymore ... lol

Yeah, the old BOB functions are all built-in nowadays. Although, lot of the old-timers still complain that they don't work as well as BOB.

But yes, everything in Panels is meant to work like BOB. (I won't wade into the controversy about whether it's better or worse.)

You don't need to download anything, just have to turn on stuff like Panels and Advanced Game Processing in your Settings.

Personally I think the automatic snap to start a game is a great idea. I do however, think that having automatic snaps after every turn including your opponents is going to make them hard to sort through. I'd imagine this might be a finished product, but to me it would be nice if the initial snap and the every turn snaps were different features with the possibility that the 2nd part of that could be turned off.

Also in Fog Teamgames u get one snap for each player, if able should only get one snap per team, so there are not multiple snaps showing the same.

ugh. 8000 games, 17 years...never used any of this shit. Our xi games are all friends and we use the chat to visit. I HATE this BS. Unnecessary clutter.
