Pretty sure it’s Josko here unless it’s a population contest…Nut Shot Scott wrote:I can, too but I went with the people's votes.

I hope it’s you…unless my video made a statement…Nut Shot Scott wrote:There will be 12 inductees plus one discretionary entry. I have already chosen the discretionary entry.

Lol all will be revealed when voting closes in a couple weeks. Spoiler - it is not me.MTIceman41 wrote:I hope it’s you…unless my video made a statement…Nut Shot Scott wrote:There will be 12 inductees plus one discretionary entry. I have already chosen the discretionary entry.
Anyways joking aside there are some solid players here that contribute to their clans and the site. Love this idea and hope this continues each year

That was the plan. I'll see how voting goes then do some kind of threshold. Maybe a max of 2 or 3 per year. Replace the 12 who get voted in this year, reeevaluate after season stats are in and create a new list of 60 players to parse down to 20. Don't want to water it down too much.rockfist wrote:You going to do 1-2 a year from here on out?

i hope that this is how we all vote! intangibles certainly can come into play but ultimately, your play should speak for itself. when i get cup rankings completed, this might change to overall clan h.o.f. and include those stats as well. the players may stay the same but i have a feeling there will be some who really step up in Cup but don't play much in League. we shall see.rockfist wrote:I suppose, but I wonder if a yes/no vote becomes a how much is this person liked contest, rather than how great of a CL player was this person. This is a list of who has been great, but it is also a list of rather large personalities because it takes some of that to be consistently great IMO. For the record I voted yes for some people that I do not usually get along with, because by any objective measure they have been great in CL...I do not know to what degree other people would do that.

to my eye, there are 6 or 7 who should be on every ballot, unquestionably. mc would be on that list. you could interchange a few beyond that. a couple probably made it this far because they're popular and well liked. one, i cannot explain but as jalen rose likes to say, give the people what they want.Swimmerdude99 wrote:The fact that mc has 8 votes is an absolute crime lol

On the other hand, quiet personalities can get unnoticed while being amazing player.rockfist wrote:I suppose, but I wonder if a yes/no vote becomes a how much is this person liked contest, rather than how great of a CL player was this person. fairman is for example imho one of the greatest player I know, his statistics here on CL are indeed really good ( 1st ranked player on average which mean even when LHDD didn't do well he was still doing well ). But he is getting less vote than I am, while I actually have stats less good than he does.

I agree with everything you said (and I would definitely vote for fairman rather than for you as you can imagine)...but I think stats have to be considered up until a certain point.Donelladan wrote:rockfist wrote:On the other hand, quiet personalities can get unnoticed while being amazing player.

Lol i actually did all of those things. You score more for an away win, you lose points for home losses, you get a luck % that drags down dubs more than quads, etc. The data points are listed in the rankings thread. The two big things I could not factor in were:donche64 wrote:Nut Shot has done an amazing work, but he didn't (and obviously couldn't as it would be a true nightmare) take into account if you've been playing an away or home game, or if it's a dubs, a trips or a quad.

That’s the tough challenge… “who” lead; not always guy on topNut Shot Scott wrote:I actually did all of those things. A) if you "led" or followed
B) the different number of teammates ie if you always play with the same players or you play with your whole team

Wow my bad, should have read more carefully !! :SNut Shot Scott wrote:Lol i actually did all of those things. My thought behind yes/no is that it's not about filling x spots, it's about getting above X% votes.rockfist wrote:I suppose, but I wonder if a yes/no vote becomes a how much is this person liked contest, rather than how great of a CL player was this person.
