CL10 Format
CL10 Format
The 3 highest ranked clans of the Second Division will be promoted to the Premier Division and the 3 lowest ranked clans of the Premier Division will be relegated to the Second Division.
Basic Format:
Clans play each other within their divisions to determine division winners and which clans get promoted or relegated.
Both divisions play a double round robin, i.e., each clan plays each other twice in the same round, with 8 home and 8 away games. Each set of 8 games is considered a match.
Per match, points will be awarded as follows:
- Win: 2 Points
- Draw: 1 Point
- Loss: 0 Points
Tie-Breaker Rules:
If 2 or more clans end up with same amount of points their placement will be based on (in order):
- Game Difference
- Difference in head-to-head results
- Difference in head-to-head game wins
- Difference in head-to-head away game wins (if still more than 2 clans tie)
- Difference in total away wins
- Difference in total away game wins
Note:
- Games won by forfeit do not count as game wins for the tie-breaker rules.

- Clans need to use a minimum of 10 different players per match (set of 8 games).
- A player who played for one clan in CL10, cannot play for another clan in in CL10.
Creating, Posting & Filling Games
Creating, Posting and Filling Games
At the start of every round the home clan contacts have to:
- Create the home games
- Post the home games (game numbers only) in the appropriate thread
- Invite the home players and make sure the games get filled
After Thursday, 18:00 hrs. CC Time, the away clan contacts have 5 more days to:
- Invite the away players and make sure the away games get filled
----
IMPORTANT: Communication is key!
Clan contacts should contact the TOs if they have a problem meeting a deadline and/or if they know they are going to be absent for a certain period of time. We may be able to help to avoid missing a deadline by granting an extension or privileges to the second clan contact, for example. Other clan members should warn their clan contacts if they see a deadline may be missed. If the clan contacts are unresponsive, clan members should contact the TOs.
Notes:
- To avoid ongoing games from having to be remade it is strongly recommended that the away clan contacts check the home games for errors before inviting their players.
- It is optional to send a PM to the opposing clan contacts with the games and/or assigned players.

medals

Clan Achievement Medals will be awarded to each division’s MVP. The TO will give each winner details of their top 3 players for them to choose their MVP.
Rules & Infractions
Rules and Infractions
- All the CC and Clan rules will be in effect, unless stated otherwise in this post.
- There will be no 12 hour Fog of War rule in effect. Clans can decide between them if they want to apply it. There will be no enforcement by the TOs or CDs.
- Game abuse like purposely running out of time or throwing a game is prohibited.
- 1st Infraction: The offending clan will receive a warning.
- 2nd Infraction: The offending clan will receive a final warning.
- 3rd Infraction: The offending clan will receive a 1 point deduction from their overall points total.
- 4th Infraction: Same as 3rd infraction.
- 5th Infraction: The offending clan will also receive a 2 pt deduction from their overall points total.
- 6th infraction: Expulsion from the competition. All results annulled.
- In the normal course of events a clan can only receive one infraction per round of matches. However, the Tournament Organizer reserves the right to impose additional infractions to any clan suspected of delaying the creation and filling of games to gain an advantage. This is to prevent a clan causing extended delays to feel safe in the knowledge that they can only get one infraction.
- When a warning has been issued for missing a deadline, the next deadline will be 24 hours after the warning was issued.
The TO will not be checking this, so it is up to each Clan to check their oppositions games.
- For a game to be remade it must be brought to the attention of the oppositions main contact and the TO before the start of round 2
- Any game that is remade after being registered in the database, and before round 2 of the game starts, has to be posted in the appropriate thread in a new post. That post also has to state which game it replaces.
- If a player joined more than 3 games per match (set of 8 home or away games), the opposing clan may choose which game or games with said player has or have to be remade.
Consequences for infractions that do not have a specific penalty assigned, and any other offenses and issues, will be determined on a case by case basis, depending on the severity, repetitiveness, and possible effects on the results of this tournament. The consequences can vary from, but are not limited to, a warning to the remaking of a game, forfeits or point deductions, removal of privileges or clan contacts, expulsion of a player, or disqualification of a clan.
. . . Note:
- All infractions and penalties will be posted in the corresponding division threads.
- Clans are expected to meet all deadlines.
- However as life does sometimes get in the way, a clan may have 2 deadline extensions throughout the competition.
- The request must be send by PM to Lindax and/or JPlo64.
- Extensions are 24 hours by default. A longer extension can be given if requested.
- All extensions granted will be posted in the corresponding division threads.
Privileges:
- Clans can request privileges for the first clan contact only, or for both contacts, upon sign-up or any other stage of the tournament.
- Privileges come with responsibilities: See: Clan Challenge Privileges
- If 2 sets of games are created and posted, the set posted first will count as the official set of games.
- Any issues arising from both clan contacts having privileges, such as creating, posting, filling 2 sets of games, missing deadlines because of a misunderstanding between clan contacts, etc., falls under the responsibility of the clans.
- Any problem arising from both contacts having privileges will result In the immediate removal of the privileges of the second contact.
- A list of clan contacts with privileges will be posted in the corresponding division threads.
- If a clan leaves CL10 for whatever reason(s) all results involving this clan will be annulled. The clan will not be eligible to enter CL11, unless issues that caused the abandonment are addressed to the satisfaction of the TO.
General Comments
- Clans are encouraged to self-police and solve minor issues between themselves. However, if both clans are unable to resolve the perceived rule break / minor issues between themselves, please report this by PM to Lindax & JPlo64. If this matter is one of the time sensitive issues that must be reported before round 1 has finished, contact the other party and a copy to the TO(s).
- For any issues and/or questions with regards to the clan database, please contact davekettering, with a copy to Lindax.
- The TOs will do their best to keep on top of things, send general reminders, check for inconsistencies, etc. However, the ultimate responsibility for following the rules rests with the clan contacts.
- Lindax, the Tournament Organizer, is ultimately responsible for running CL10. If you disagree with a ruling by anybody else in this tournament, please contact Lindax. If you disagree with a ruling by Lindax, please contact davekettering, the Clan Department Head.
- The format and the rules are subject to change if deemed appropriate by the TO and/or the CD Team.
