Thank GOD! We have truly a compassionate Republican State who wants to increase jobs by lowering the minimum wage from $10.00 to $7.70

The Governor said that keeping the minimum wage at $10 per hour would hurt workers.

So basically exactly like the US then? Except with no minimum protections for non unionized employees?Bernie Sanders wrote:saxitoxin wrote:There is no minimum wage in Sweden. the companies sign agreements with the unions and these agreements set the minimum level depending on the employee's age and experience

Wrong Saxi, the unions are in decline here. Back in the 1960s about a third of the work force was union. Now it's around 12% and those are mostly government workers. Plus being in the working class you can go bankrupt seeking medical care.saxitoxin wrote:So basically exactly like the US then? There's plenty of room to improve the Affordable Care Act.saxitoxin wrote:ITT Bernie says Obamacare isn't "great"Bernie Sanders wrote: Yes Saxi, we should be more like Sweden! Plus everyone benefits from great healthcare!
So, in other words, if you're a member of a union in Sweden, the union negotiates a minimum. If you're a member of a union in Missouri, same thing happens.Bernie Sanders wrote:Wrong Saxi, the unions are in decline here.saxitoxin wrote:So basically exactly like the US then? The minimum wage isn't being cut for Missouri, only the city of St. Louis. St Louis voted for Clinton. Now their chickens are coming home to roost. That's the way this works. Friends get rewarded. Enemies get destroyed.Bernie Sanders wrote:Why is Saxi defending the cut in minimum wage for haird working people of Missouri?

Keep the working classes down and the rich and powerful will get their just desserts.

The second Seattle minimum wage increase, to as much as $13/hour on January 1, 2016,
resulted in:
o a 9% reduction in hours worked at wages below $19/hour. A disemployment effect of
this size would occur if, for example, a business that employed 11 low wage workers per
shift in 2014 cut back to about 10 workers per shift in 2016.
o a reduction of over $100 million per year in total payroll for low-wage jobs, measured as
total sum of increased wages received less wages lost due to employment reductions.
Total payroll losses average about $125 per job per month.

What does that mean?
And you complain about incoherence? That is TROLLING, Symm.
Since you cannot or choose not to deal with my arguments, you must agree with them, Symm. You complain about use of ellipses and then complain about lack of coherence? Stop dealing with minutia and deal with the main ideas, Symm.

Sym, your rebuttal is completely lacking in substance. obviously you were desperate to deliver a comeback, no matter how weak or insipid.Symmetry wrote:Not really kid.jusplay4fun wrote:Talk about incoherence:
