Best 2 player record?

Post by sully800 »

Well, lets hear what you've got!

I'm still undefeated and just finished two more which puts me at 11/11.

I was referring to the self-accolades. although JR does come in a close 2nd to Robinette.

I know what you were referring to, thats why I mentioned someone else famous for the same thing. And of course I'm full of myself and will proclaim my accolades just as much as Robin or Johnny, so no rebuttals are necessary

especially in a no cards game, the fairest game i played was a freestyle flat rate. as we both start and get equal armies and it dosent all depend on luck in the drop u can also get luck with cards which evens it out. i like them! altho they are costly point wise......

yes

half my loses were because they dropped with a continent/or were fortified by neutral countries.

although I won about 80% of the games, im still down about 500 points. so all of you that have not PM me yet to ask why I dont have 3,400 points anymore, that is the reason why. You lose alot of points but im having fun doing it.

its been suggested before but maybe a solution would be that u dont gain continent bonuses till say 2 or 3rd round.

Yeah, but continent bonuses aren't the only issue. If I go first and can take you down to only 3 men per turn, when I started with 6 or so, that's an advantage too.

Yeah wick, thats an advantage, but you can't swing it nearly as much as your example.

If you start with 6 you can have 9 total on a country. Then you'd need to take out 9 countries with 3 men on each to get the other person down 3 armies less than you were before continent bonuses. I've found that you can generally only knock the other person down 1 army for their country bonus on the first round, even on world 2.1.

The continents and drops and give the player who goes first a big advantage. But dice and cards can give the advantage to anyone in the game as well. Theres a lot of luck involved in them, thats for sure, but thats the name of the game.

11/11? C'mon, sully, you can't possibly be THAT good.

Then again, I'm only 2-3... 1-2 vs. AM, 1-1 vs. my doubles partner Sultan...

And I've had some world-class bad drops, so what are ya gonna do?
