Does anyone know what are those little lighter shaped things that appear in games next to your name, the greater part of the bottom is a dark gray and the top is white, and next to it there is a multiplication symbol and a number. I must have missed a message or announcement that explained them because I don't know what they do. Sorry if it's a silly question but I'd like to know.

Those are supposed to look like a deck of cards, and it represents the number of cards in your hand.
The lighters represent how "blazed" the person is at the moment. Like if your taking in some live hair bands it shows how many lighters you would be holding up. So you make a bad move and it says four lighters that means you would need four lighters to get that soggy cigar going. Basically the higher numbers means worse, (for you) In paper rock scissors you could use the bomb which killed everything but you could only use it three times and it was pointless because each players three bombs just canceled out the other players three bombs but when you are a kid you don't realize that because you are stupid so the game takes longer but this is like a better bomb. You can use one lighter to light a bomb and that blows up one territory no matter how many armies are on it. So it is a nice new feature. In short the lighters are just there as a redundant safety feature, see the thread on Cogito, ergo sum. It is also in the instructions.
