The Day that Crime was Legal

Post by Lord Canti »

An extreme hypothetical I admit, but say the criminal justice system completly fell apart, due to police force strike or judge's strike or some other catastrophe of the system. What would you do?

Would you go on a murderous rampage against your enemies?

Loot all the stores in your town?

or would you round up your fellow citizens and create your own volunteer law enforcement agency?

The possibilities are endless

Tell me what you would do.

Not so extreme a hypothetical really; this happened in Montreal in 1969 when the police force went on strike. The city descended into a state of lawlessness within hours with widespread looting and vandalism which culminated with the Murray-Hill riot in which a Quebec Provincial Policeman was shot by security guards from the roof of the Murray-Hill garage...

I believe that most laws need to be tossed anyways, so I see this as a good thing.
