Clarifying Question

Is the deck of cards given color values before the game or are they randomly assigned when the card is dealt? In a game I'm in I have 2 green and my partner has 2 green, and I want to know if I am less likely to get another green card.

they are random...

I have never seen myself get a card of the same territory in my hand. As in, i will not have alberta alberta ever. but after i cash a set containing alberta, I may get alberta again :lol:

there is a good possibility you get a green card buddy.

Mainly I'm just curious about the set up of the game. Are there set values to each card? Are the colors assigned before the game starts? Or are they random after each turn?

They're random, although I avoid handing out the a country that is already held by someone in the game. Maybe one day I'll code a proper deck, or put it in the xml.

this has happened to me several times. i cash in a country card, and after my turn is over, i get the same country back- in a different color!!

Ex-

I have ontario (red) I cash in ontario, alberta, congo
After my turn................

i get ontario back! this time blue in color
