So I came up with a new idea: How about a series of 64 tournaments, of varying format and on varying boards, each with a theme? The winner of each gets to participate in the GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP, a NCAA basketball style tournament, with predetermined settings for each matchup! Win more than one, find yourself on multiple bracket lines and more chances to win it all. The winner of tournament 1 will get first pick of the 64 slots, tournament 2 second pick, and so on. Some tournaments will have teams, some singles. Some have Fog related settings, some Spoils settings, some on certain boards, some on any board.
This tournament, Tourney #5, will be the largest so far! The 48 players in this tournament will be randomly allocated into 16 groups of 3. Within each group, play will begin with AoR 1, then proceed to AoR 2, then AoR 3, and back to AoR 1, etc. Only one game per group will be in progress at a time. The first player in each group to get one win on each of the three maps will win the group. The 16 players remaining will be paired into 4 new groups, and the same process will be completed. The final four players will play for the grand championship under the same rules as previous. All games will be Manual, Sequential, Escalating, Unlimited, Foggy
