Favorite Star Trek Character

Post by btownmeggy »

I've thought about this LONG and HARD.

I've decided on Lwaxana Troi.

Image

I also really like: Kirk, Spock, Uhura, Picard, Data, Deanna Troi, Simon Tarses and Taurek for being pointy-eared babes, Sisko, Odo, Jadzia Dax, Janeway, Kim (he's just like my special friend), Neelix, Archer (BIG TIME!), and the T'Pol-Tucker combo (but not individually).

When all is said and done, Archer is probably my 2nd favorite. He's so brave.

I'm... supposing this is a joke.

Poor guy. I once read Whil Wheaton's blog and he talks a lot about how hard it was to be one of the most hated TV characters of all time.

God yes. Also Firefly. Both much better.

I hated everyone from the original series, and everyone from TNG apart from Picard, so I'll go for him.

Enterprise was interesting for a bit, but none of the characters were actually likable.

It's just my opinion, I'm not cussing your mum or anything. Try to stay calm.

Probably the best scifi TV show ever... I can't think of any other that is close.

But, it's brevity probably adds to the effect.

Close second would be the revamped BSG in my opinion - except Starbuck. She grates on my nerves.

I like BSG a ton, I watch it every week, but I hate a lot of the characters, including Starbuck, Fatso McFattywad, oh, I could go on and on. I was so pissed when they killed Billy.

The first half of this season was SPECTACULAR.

I like all the hot chicks that have done nude scenes in movies, ect. (like Teri Farrel). Really, I don't think I have a favourite character, I do how ever HATE Wesley.

Heh, Look at this bit of trivia I found about DeForest Kelley (The actor who played McCoy):
Kelley appeared as an Army medic in the 1956 film The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit. It was a bit part with only one line: "This man's dead, captain."

from wikipedia:

BSG for the first two seasons, has to be the best scifi series ever...its movie quality programing that happened to be scifi and happened to be on TV...to really get what was happening you had to watch it a few times per episode

its still good, but I think the originality of the first two seasons really made it the best...and kahn was easily the best character to ever play in ST

Capt. Kirk: Another technical journal, Scotty?
Scotty: Aye.
Capt. Kirk: Don't you ever relax?
Scotty: I am relaxing.

Don't have a favorite character, but Gene Roddenberry is my great uncle on my fathers side of the family. I never met him and I think he's dead but he's there in the family tree somewhere.
