placing armies

y dont we get to place our armies at the beginning of the game

One at a time? All at once? It could take a month one at a time.

Because then there would be thousands of armies in Australia, and Asia would be empty.
Actually, it's because it would take a really, really long time to do it like you do in real RISK: taking turns placing three armies at a time.

Though perhaps if the number of units on a territory were randomized to be anywhere from 1-4 or something it would mix things up a bit. Trying to take down 3 with 6 is generally not good practice.

a rule of risk is that you can deploy till 4 armys on one country, sounds fun to me, but well the time to deploy...
