This site being constructed on top of Risk, I think it's appropriate to ask if any of you play other boardgames besides Risk? To be more exact I'd like to know how familiar are you with the new wave boardgames like Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne and others? And if so, any favourites you'd recommend?
I've been playing German-style boardgames for quite many years. My favourites are games like El Grande, Wallenstein, Eufrat & Tigris or maybe just simply genious Blokus.

Sometimes I play Sorry! with my friends after we play a long game of RISK. The game is essentially similar....erm...maybe?
