Other news sources agree.

It is sad and there seems to be a trend? Poland's Central Bank said no to the IMF 12 days earlier

The president of the central bank was also an the plain

The Polish president was declared anti-comunist and euro-sceptic and he also:
-refused the American Anti-rocket shield,
-posponed for unlimited period the aderation of Poland to the EU
-refused to sign the Lisabona Treaty
-sustained the interest of Poland agains the interest of the superpowers
*poland is also the only East-European contry that is not in recession, they even recorded economical growth

In fewer words, he was a pain in the ass for a lot of people
So the solution was.....

The presidetial plain(the one that crashed had a major inspection and upgrade in december 2009
Daily comercial planes land in dificult weather condition.Thousands of planes land everywhere in the world in low visibility conditions. We have the tehnology (excepte if they mess with the data) I thing in Die Hard 2 was a scene where the terorist send fals data to the plane making it to crash befor the runway

I bet the maintenance people forgot to install the windshield wipers on the inside of the front window. They do this in Poland since the pilots tend to go "Pbbbbbbbbbtttttttt" as they fly the plane.

Old Polish joke.

20 years isn't that much for a plane and the model is fairly reliable as far as I've heard.

ah true, i checked up on it just now as well, seems like indeed this is a quite reliable plane and the earliest models have have been flying almost 40 years by now, it had also just recently had had a check up. think we'll just have to wait and see what the investigation turns out...
