Please, remove that picture of the person with the photographer, it contains personal information.

It has been changed to a pic of the same man wearing dark shades...
And Bedub1's name has been removed to comply with the rules...

That is one amazing camera. . . did you see the zoom on that baby? That thing can almost see through clothes. I want that!
With the matching hat.

Who knows who the photographer is...and who knows who took the picture....but they are definitely real and the house has been owned by a turtle...

Over-reaction much guys?
(Although if DM had posted this, he'd be perma-banned right now)

Hey if we can't overreact what's the point?

3 pages is hardly an overreaction.
Remember that business with *PH and Tw*ll? Seems similar to me, though I'll go ahead and say that I don't know the veracity of the original bit of information.
Also, I demand that, for my privacy, when anyone refers to me by name, all the vowels be replaced with asterisks. That way, when someone says "N**t*n* lives at this address and leaves for work every day at precisely 7:42," I know that my protection is guaranteed.
Additionally, how sweet would it be to have the Ferris Bueller house?

I remember it, it was pretty epic. And quite stupidly handled by Tw*ll, I mean, he had put up the private information HIMSELF, all the other party did was link to it/point out how to find it, and it turned out to be a no-brainer.

I know Robinette very well, that is how i heard about this thread.
She's messing with you guys, there are several things wrong here.
So let me set the record straight.
1st. This house was NOT designed by van der Rohe like the title says
2nd. That was NOT a real Ferrari in the movie.
3rd. It was not Bueller's house, it was Frye's house.
One thing is for sure, The new owner will be needing a staff of volunteers to keep the windows clean.

Wow, looks like you're right. Hopefully you can stick around and debunk more of Robinette's crazy theories.
But is this really going to be L@ck's house?

HEY... wait a minute...
2 out of those 3 things were clearly disclosed in my original post...Robinette wrote:................
Well that house, the house of Cameron Frye's father, was designed by our very own van der Rohe...
well, technically it was designed by 2 of his students, but hey!........................
And now i need to do something to punish Batman for that post...

Well it's official...
somebody is about to be the proud new owner of the home made famous by the movie "'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'.
Unfortunately, I am not allowed to say WHO this person is...
*that would be sharing private information, which is a no-no*But it is public knowledge that the mailing address is:
370 N Beech St
Highland Park, Illinois, USASo get out your "Best wishes on your new home" greeting cards...
But don't send them yet...
There is to be a 4 month escrow, so no move in till November.
I'm sure this has to do with packing, moving, maybe even some painting, etc..
I for one, will be sending this new owner an early Christmas Card...
I'm sure it will be appreciated, and you can do the same...
providing you don't violate the privacy policy
And if I might make a suggestion to one hard shelled compadre,
*you know who you are* *wink* *wink*this would make an excellent Christmas Card...

Lolz........ lolz..... titter.... here's this thread in it's purest form:

Ha ha! In pictures!... lolz... now all the sex-starved dweebs can sniff my cyber-pants and tell me that was funny, because they hope that will make a girl like them. lolz .... titter ....
Now, if you'll kindly excuse me, I can feel a bout of narcolepsy coming on. Personally, I blame this utterly flaccid and worthless thread.

lolz titter.... said a thing, then posted a pic ... that's always funny .... right? ..... titter .... lolz .... isn't it?

MLS ID# 07218797 has been sold...
The MLS now states:
"Estate Sale Sold -No disclosures!" lol... well what-ya-know... whoever it is that bought this house, very much values their privacy...
lol... no surprise there... *wink, wink*...
My source tells me the house sold for "about half" the asking price...
What a great time to be buying a house in Highland Park!
Way to go La--, um.... i mean... way to go, mystery shopper!!!
You deserve it!

I have an update on what you-know-who paid for this house...
http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/370-Beech-Street_Highland-Park_IL_60035_1109385563 It still states "Estate Sale Sold -No disclosures!",
but the purchase amount had to be filed with the county for property tax assessments....
Aaaaaaannnnd here it is:
370 Beech Street Highland Park, IL 60035
$1,800,000
4 Bed, 4 Bath | 5,300 Sq Ft on 0.75 Acres (32,670 Sq Ft Lot) |
MLS #07218797
Smart move is you ask me....
This is a one-of-a-kind home, bought at the low water mark for housing prices...
With a lot of upside potential...
Well done

oh great Green one...

Here's a good news clip from last year, before it sold..

There's the kitchen...
Also... i have a correction...
This house did NOT sell for 1.8 mill...
The original listed price was 2.2 million,
and it was REDUCED to 1.8....
BUT
The actual sale amount was not disclosed...
And my inside source, who can't... or Won't... tell me,
did say it sold for about HALF the asking price...
So about a million? give or take?
This would've fetched 3 million a few years ago!
It came with all the furniture too...
but not the cars, lol...
Does anybody live in this county?
One trip to the county records office would confirm the sale amount...
But i suppose we don't REALLY need to know...
It's enough for me to know that it was a REALLY REALLY good deal...
