What people seem to fail to realize is that people who use the internet EXIST!

That means people who support Ron Paul using the internet can actually VOTE!!!!!! Moreover, people who use the internet can talk, too! They can talk to friends and family! They can present compelling cases for Ron Paul (most of them anyways

Internet support isn't superficial. It's really going to be the campaign technique for the future, IMO, it's done very well for a formerly unknown Texas congressman.

Yet he still polls among the least popular three Republicans in the REAL world. I personally don't support him and his political garbage, but I will vote for Mike Huckabee as an alternative to Hilary Clinton. He will use Chuck Norris to stop illegal immigrants.

Oh it's not about his religious zealotry, though that is quite worrying. It's his sheer fucking crazyness.
The guy think his theology degree (which he doesn't have) makes him more fit to fight terrorists.

As far as I can see he does have a BA from Ouichita Baptist University and the School of Education at that University is named after him (means nothing in and of itself, of course). Project Vote Smart has his credentials listing this http://votesmart.org/bio.php?can_id=1657
The only person I’ve seen saying that he’s lied about his degree is your guy and I’d think that there would be some more evidence of it somewhere.

Here’s an article written by the candidate about foreign affairs. He doesn’t sound crazy or uneducated to me. In fact he seems to be moving away from the saber rattling of George Bush and is actually talking about a plan to open an American embassy in Iran.

I'm not saying he doesn't have a better understanding of it, I'm saying his "theology" degree doesn't mean he has a better understanding of it. He might very well be the only person who understands it.

Certainly not uneducated, but then again education is never a good way to determine crazyness.
Most of his plans in that article don't seem that bad, but I just can't shake the feeling that somebody who calls for a quarantine of AIDS victims in 1992, pardons serious offenders who happen to be donaters for him, believes creationism is just as valid as evolution and believes God is helping him rise in the polls (as opposed to people supporting him?:S) is crazy.

Well as a Texan - i do like ron paul (our last texas Pres - well we know how that is going) - but because we are in a conflict I thouroughly believe we need a leader with some military background - So I like John McCain - I will admit I need to be better educated on this whole list of candidates before I make a decision though.

I do have an interesting link on Rudy though - I am a Firefighter and 9/11 has affected my life but my brothers in NYFD have made an interesting video:

That's up to the states to decide, kids would hear about evolution via other media anyway, and if they're critical senses aren't developed enogh that they can't mke their own decision, you've got more than just whether they believe evolution to worry about. Besides, in the scheme of things like the war on terror, tax, the subprime meltdown, civil liberties, 2nd amendment issues, abortion, euthanasia, protection tariffs etc...., no, whether kids learn abut Darwin in school or not is frankly irrelevant.

Preparing the next generation is probably the most important thing for America to do at any given time because if in twenty to thirty years we are led by a bunch of dumbasses...the country is screwed (see: our current president)

The link you provided said that his Biblical Studies degree could technically be considered a theology degree (I wouldn't know what else it would be considered). I can't see where he's trying to mislead anyone about his qualifications. After all you admitted that some of his ideas were pretty good from that foreign policy essay.

Are you familiar with the curriculum? I think I'm pretty average, and I would consider a degree in Biblical Studies a theological one. I certainly can't see this as being a basis for thinking he's crazy.

Hmmm. A guy is crazy if he makes a statement in ignorance (He admits it was a mistake) sixteen years ago, believes that God created the world but hasn't attempted to force that view on anyone, and believes that God is helping him in his daily life? Sorry it just seems you and I have a different view of crazy.

I was concerned, however, about your charges of granting clemency. Certainly, at its worse (and as it was presented in your links) it sounds like he's granting pardons as political favors. That would most likely get him impeached, but he served two terms as governor. Even his political opponents don't accuse him of that. At worst they say he's soft on crime. Here's his response (it deals specifically with the DuMond case). It mentions what I tried to make clear earlier. Governors can grant pardons, but this guy was paroled. That's a decision made by a parole board not a governor.
