Christmas break?

Postby Kilter on Sat Dec 22, 2007 5:18 am

I have a problem and I have a solution for it.
My problem is, i cant come online with christmas (i think).
Family reasons ;)

The solution is, just a christmas break or an option that you can ask for more time in the christmas days ;)

Or you could just get an account sitter with a trusted player..

There are a few that aren't doing anything except staying on CC.

is there a way you could wake up a little earlier on Christmas to play your turns? i celebrate it too, but i'll still find time between my birthday (dec. 24th) and Christmas to play.

Why did you join games in the past few weeks-month if you knew you would not have time to play?

i didnt join games lately
oke, i did join 1, but that 1 will be finnished soon.

but the games i play are games with slow players, sometimes we have to wait 23 hours before 1 player makes a move!

Happy early birthday :)

I always felt bad for kids who had birthdays really close to christmas when I was younger. But thats off topic

The idea of a break in games for Christmas was discussed last year and denied. Many people don't celebrate christmas and many of those that do are still able to access a computer. I also know lots of people will be using account baby sitters or they didn't join many games recently so they would be able to finish up before leaving. It takes a little planning but its possible to get through the holidays without missing. And when you do have to miss a turn or two, its not the end of the world.

This would be the perfect instance for the vacation button to be implemented, but since it hasn't been created yet you just have to try your best to play when you can.

Don't make any new games, or try to find a sitter.

Problem with your solution is timezones. Effectively CC would have to shut down for 48 hours to accomodate christmas all over the world.
