NOTES:

This version is mostly a fixing errors of the previous version ( hyphens ), and it adds new status icons.

If you do not like these icons you can edit the user settings in the .js file...
It looks like the following:
//-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
// BEGIN User Settings
//-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

var isColorBlind = true; //set this to true if you want color indicators on map
var ShapedStatusIcons = true; //ie square for can't play
var BorderedIcons = false; // only takes matters if ShapedStatusIcons is set to true.

//-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
// END User Settings
//-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just change the true values to false values if you want to turn something off... Or if you happen to go colorblind just set the isColorBlind to true.

Let me know what you guys think.

P.S.

You will get a javascript error gmtop not defined, just ignore that for now, I'll fix that later. It works... but yea gives an error... :-\

Its used to skip down to the map... so everything is in view.

I could make a map refresh automatically... I probably wont though...

Yes, I think I'll add a probability calculator sometime in the future.

This just fixes issues with hyphens.

Not until I get something in the log that says...
x ended his turn.

Till then the best I can do is assuming they are ending or about to end their turn...

Oh wait... Lack did put that new 1hr limit on turns.. :D

Um.. Alright, I spose I'll release something as soon as I get around to it...

Keep in mind it would sometimes be off by less than an hour.. but thats acceptable...

I don't think so. If I understand it right, the script works off of information available on the page. I don't think the page lists either A) which countries each player holds, B) which countries are on which continent, or C) the bonus value of each continent. It's just got the game history (which doesn't list your starting positions) and the map overlay query (which doesn't have country names).

Not a bad idea, I think I'll add that, when I get a chance.

I did notice that when a player runs out of time during a turn, the indicator remains stuck on "Playing" instead of "Done" when in the gamespace.

Otherwise nice job.

crossword map error

Post by Scarus »

I rely soooo much on the script that I doubt if I can count anymore....lol

Anyway, I'm in my first crossword map game and I see a couple of the players holding 7 cards. My first thought is that I'm a newbie to this map and I should walk very softly around these guys for fear that they might cash in two sets any minute....lol

When nobody ever cashed in I finally figured the script must not be reading the map right.

I could've counted everyone's cards to tell for sure, but my brain has atrophied soooo much from relying on the script that I just don't think I can do it on my own anymore....lol

Try reinstalling the script... its on version 3 now... you may have version 2 still..

version 3 fixes the crossword map...

I just discovered another bug though... if ones name is in part of a location on the map it will cause errors when one cashes in cards... I'll fix that in version 4.
