Yea that song is incredible. I've just started getting into the progressive metal scene. You got any suggestions of bands I should check out. Dream Theater is my first real forey into Progressive metal. I've got their Scenes from a Memory album and the Once in A Livetime discs. What style of music do you play on the trumpet?

Some bands I really dig are Symphony X, Kamelot, Blind Guardian and Sonata Arctica, check them out and let me know what you think. Oh and be sure to pick up "Awake" and "Train of Thought" by Dream Theater... classics.

As far as trumpet goes I perform in ska and punk or rock/ska groups mainly. Sometimes do jazz and big band stuff but ska is my genre for trumpet.

Disturbed
Great lakes (they're from Chicago), flat rate, unlimited, no fog
Metal is the closest, I suppose.
Freemium, I've already got a spot open.
Lynard Skynard. Not a fan, but a good show nonetheless.
80's classics, unfortunately.

Okay folks, we're full up! I will still take reserves, as there are always dropouts. Neoteny, you're down as first reserve, as you were the 41st signup. I'll get privs for this tourney soon and look to be starting on the weekend.

Get your games free non-prems!

Also folks, since the development of the new Tourney Messager program, I'll be able to send out all pm's, so you don't need to worry about that.

Cheers,

Game 1333470

Pink Floyd blew all the other bands away!

Does that make 9 points? 2 for each kill and 3 for killing the last and winning?

Actually, it makes 11 points. 4x2+3, I miscalculated in the original post.

Scores so far, Gozar - 11, Timminz - 11, Tieryn - 9, MarVal - 9, Sweko - 2, BagwellTheGreat - 2

Also mpxy was kicked out of our first game for deadbeating.

Glad you like it Kidwhisky.

Following suit I came out with Sonata Arctica and came away with the win.
I also eliminated Bla-cro (Black Label Society) and ParadiceCity9 (Megadeth) giving me 7 points.

I think we may need to replace mpxy (Mezarkabul) due to him being eliminated to deadbeating/missing turns; however before that he eliminated Razormonster (Metallica). So I don't know who gets his points but he got 2 before deadbeating out.

It would be super cool if you set up some sort of score sheet so we know where we all stand - organization is wonderful
