Well, a lot of people on this site play 1 map, 1 type of game over and over, they play it so many times they get really good at it.
Or, you could play team games to increase your chances of winning. Generally if you have good reliable partners and good communication its a pretty easy way to pick up points.
its streaky especially if you play alot of games. look at me went from major up to number five in the rankings. Nothing has gone right since. You just have to take the good with the bad.
No big deal just enjoy the time playing a great game.
you have winning and losing streaks, it happens, im currently in a winning streak, as my points have gone up 200 points, but i doubt they will go up much further
If you beat generals and colonels regularly, then your score will skyrocket.
hope this helps.

That is true for me too, it took me 91 games to become a Sergeant, then it took me ten more and I was a leiutenant and then 5 more and I was a captain. I've been at captain since.

J-Bad...hang in there...it is true re: winning / losing streaks - I have bounced from private to captain and back 7 or 8 times now...at the low end, when you start winning, you rack up points quickly with the way the points are calced.....

I really don't want to hear your whiney stories of "I suck, the dice suck".
Honestly... I go from Major to Lientenant every other week with a Captain somewhere in the middle and I still play and take my shots as any true CC addict would. I don't come on here saying "the dice hate me, I suck so hard" ... just take it and keep going. NO big deal - who's counting anyway?!
So lay off, join some more games and take a chill pill.
