Post by Reel_Big_Fish »

This is an idea I came up with while I was sitting in the back of Social Studies. Just wondering about interest.

I mentioned a similar idea to cairnswk a few weeks back.

One idea I had envisioned revolved around two sides of the map...the two trenches...and a central "No Man's Land" area that could be bomarded by each side. In the "No Man's Land" there would be various barbed wire obstacles, etc, but also a few "Safe Haven" trenches/holes that couldn't be hit by bomardments from either side.

The idea was to really try to play up the theme that once you leave the "Trench"...you are risking a lot. :)

Yeah that's what I was thinking. You lose armies in No Man's Land except for said Safe Havens. Is that already started, or can I continue on it?

It's not started, so by all means go ahead. I don't make maps, I just move them through the creation process. :)

Goodluck!

Yeah, I'll put that in the next version. From the trench to the other trench or to the middle of no mans land is the question.

FoW would make bombarding into the No-Man's land interesting...but that is aside the point for now.

Back on map topic. :)

Great idea. We already have several of WWII. The First War would make a nice difference
