Never give up on a game until your final army is extinguished, especially since you weren't in all that fatal a position when you posted (even though it was a bad position).

Personally I think suiciding for the sole reason of ensuring that a lower ranked player can't win is very poor form. It is not wrong to hope that a higher rank wins so you lose less points, but seeking to destroy one players prospects when they have played a good game for the sake of a couple of points is pretty sad in my books.

I totally agree... and has been said by several people already, it's surprising how beaten down you can get and still pull off a win. I've been down to a single army and managed a win on several occassions.

It's never over, until it's over.

I'm with the previous poster oVo, the dice can be amazing and devastating sometimes.

the mantra in my sig and that oVo said "It's not over, til it's over" is so true.

bottom line is, its a fucking game on the internet without wagering.

so as long as u don't have 2 accounts or have a secret alliance do as you please. you spent 20$ to numb your mind and detach yourself from the real world so make sure you get your moneys worth and don't worry about what the low lifes say or think.

and if thats not good enough for some people then maybe this site isn't good enough for u.
make the alliance!

^^ probably the worst post in this thread so far.

Does the word fair play mean anything to you? Rules are made out of necessity to protect us from those who have no sense of fairness. But rules are never perfect. They are often bent and exploited and hence have to be updated and changed to stop unfair play.

Do we have to keep making up new rules to stop unfair play, or can we all just use a bit of common sense?

Common sense should tell you that suiciding into someone in order to throw the game to someone else isn't considered fair play and is clearly stated as such in the newly updated Rules page.

Lose like an honorable champion and go down fighting real hard but please don't give up and ruin a great game that everyone has put in the time, energy plus effort to play for a win.

Wishing you a better next game.

the absolute only time it is OK to throw a game is when you're suiciding on a player who has suppressed you the entire game or ruined your chances of winning that game.

If you're doing it for any reason other than what happened in that game I would consider it unethical.

Legal is seldom Ethical - you are asking the question as if it has possible 'reprocussions' (IS IT LEGAL IF I DO THIS?) - which suggests that by doing this type of behavior - you are looking for a loophole.

The bottom line in my opinion - is that you can conduct yourself in an manner you choose - as long as you are fine with the results. Throw a game if you like - but don't be surprised if people stop playing with you.
My self esteem is high enough, that I don't have to post stats here ;)

It's a perfectly legal strategy. End the game on YOUR terms. Most people cant think for 2 halves of a second to realize that. It borders on unethical.

Here, lemmie tell you a story my friend. I did toss a game to a higher ranked person based on the points side game. That got me tossed on a few ignore lists by idiots. (look above) And a neg feedback by the player who I made loose.

Ever since then, I have not suicided on another place. Even though I was gonna loose. Why? Because I have recovered from a few defeats and turned it into either a close victory or a victory.

Just keep fighting dude. ;) This is what separates us from the terrorists.

 As far as I am concerned you start the game PLEASE finish it!

you rob the other players are falling good about this game and you just want to on to next one because you know you can't win. OH CONE ON

There is not one of us that would not like to win more of the games we play, but the fact is nobody wins all the time.
LET THEM HAVE THE FUN OF WINNING IT, NOT JUST BECAUSE YOU DUMPED THE GAME. [-X

Dude, how did this get 3 pages of responses? Of course, all alliances are legal. Make them as you please. Just fully disclose them when they are made. You have made 0 alliances so far this game.

never surrender, never retreat. only a coward would admit defeat and give himself over to the enemy. or even turn traitor and combine forces with the enemy in return for favorable position, ie lower point loss. fight till the end and die with honour

You are a hypocrite !
You advocate ending a game on any terms you see fit yet brand those who do likewise, ie ending the game by giving you neg feedback, as idiots !

The missed the whole point. While yes, I don't not support it, I wouldn't recommend using such a tactic at Conquer Club.
And that quip about the idiots leaving neg feedback was a joke directed at MeDeFe.

Lastly, I supplied a very relevant story on what to expect if you do toss a game to another player. To which may land a player is some pretty hot coffee.

Not a very good joke, I remember one guy suicided on me because he thought I had been unfair to him in an other game when he was sandwiched between me and a third player.

I find myself in a situation. Where I have a large incampment. If you will accect that. At one time I was leading the game. Albeit, another play who was losing. Decided to to go all out and loosen my grip on the game. The game in NO CARDS. I have been attacked by all players at this point.
As I mentioned I now have an formatible incampament. I can upset the balance either way. The chances of willing are slim..
Should I flip a coin to decide which party I will assist.
DO you ahve any ideas?
