also southy can u put up a 1 week poll-
'What colour scheme do you prefer'
'Bright Colours'
'Grayscale'
'Inner glow/ Pattern'
Thanks, I just want to gauge the forums opinion on this not just 1 persons, no offence dim!

no offence mate. it's logical to get opinions from all. but it seems i'm mainly the one giving feedback around here.
anyway. the numbers don't look good like you put them because you'll rarely have 3 digits and in most cases the armies will look really off-centered. so you need to put 2 digit armies in each box and make them centered. then calculate that you have enough space to the right of those 2 digits to fit a 3rd one. this way everything will look fine. but as i said before you need to increase the box size for this to work. make the map 15*15 rows make the squares bigger and you'll have space for legend and artwork and everything. because at this point you don't have space neither for 3 digits nor for the legend and artwork.
also about the color poll you need to contact a mod to remove this one in order to put a new one.
i vote grayscale but i'd like the options to look like this:
What colour scheme do you prefer?'
'1. Bright Colours'
'2. Grayscale/Monochromatic'
'3. Inner glow'
'4. Texture Pattern'
so add monochromatic besides grayscale because you can also do coloring like in middle east map or berlin map which is not gray scale and still looks great. or like in the example i presented in the thread.
also break inner glow and pattern into 2 different options since they are 2 totally different things.
and btw when you put up polls like that you must also present the map with those options.
so make 4 versions of the map when you put the poll and include in the question something like : (see images page 13)
this way people will know what exactly they are voting for.
