if it's a crossword map then it should look like a crossword and i've never seen crosswords with tabs. the colors already spoil the feeling don't tabs.
as for the colors why don't you look at the berlin map or the middle east or why not at the crossword paper rip i put in this thread. use only one color in different tones.
WL_southerner wrote:owenshooter i think you find that the crossword map is not the lest amount played but it is the low numbers played most people have not played the crossword map a fair few took the word of a few that did not like the map
WL_southerner wrote:tisha take no notice of the colours yet we still trying out diffrent combination
WL_southerner wrote:dim you never seen crossword map with tabs you do need to get out more there a few about one of the early ones was in france dating back to 173?
the combinations, verables set up and looks of a crossword i think i would need to use every member fingers and toes of very member of cc and still need more to count the diffrent types of crossword, your just use to seeing the stanard type crossword that you see in news papers
WL_southerner wrote:dim you really do need to get out more you google search for crossword plans dont you know are millions of diffrent crosswords crosswords have been around 100,s of years i told you there was a tab one in france 173? some thing i give you a ie just to open your mind abit wordsearch is a crossword theres ones where you put numbers on in them all your seeing is the standard news paper crossword, so looking at only a few of what google got listed and thats only a small amount of what is out there, putting tabs on them is not a new idea its an old one, oh and we will be trying diffrent colours shades and tones

the squares aren't big enough yet. they fit 88 but with 888 you'll have serious overlapping.
also the map is way too tall.
PS: btw, i thought you were going to present a new style not just a simple grid. perhaps make it like a page on a desk and a guy is filling the crossword. add a pencil an eraser a cup of coffee. stuff to make it better than the original.

But then I will have to make the crossword squares even smaller as I will have to add the graphics around the outside. according to the guidelings hight is not a problem and it is the only way to make the squeres bigger
WL_southerner wrote:dim did you not read what was said here i repeat it for you
you can over lap in to the next box has long it stays in that line
ie the line going across dont over lap with the line going down
and where there not enough room we can run in to the black area it be no diffrent to maps where they run in to the sea because theres not enough room it be all down to the best location
oh if you dont like my english the door over there some where
WL_southerner wrote:dim 1 little box is not the line a line is made up from 3 boxes to 7 boxes in a line all depends where
