I know, maybe he's formulating a counter-argument consisting of "classic rock is shite" and "u r faggots." Par for the course, right?

The reason I don't reply to everypost is because you guys make like 50 rants an hour.

Everyone listing hundreds of bands, stop, I asked for a song from a genre OTHER THEN classic rock and I don't have time to bother listening to more then one anyways.

To guy who listens to radio; your a dumbass to listen to the radio in the first place, but even more of a dumbass to expect them to not play the mainstream shit that every genre has. Your as bad as rap bashers, you listen to 50 cent and label the entire genre as shit (list ONE non mainstream classic rock song and I'll listen to it, to not be a hypocrite).

To person saying my opinion isn't law; not real argument please try again, I never said my opinion was the law I was just pointing out why I thought classic rock was shit (which it is motherfucker).

If I missed any good arguments repost them, I only read like half b/c of the sheer amount of them.

I gave you enough non-classic rock songs to get along with... the problem with your argument is that it is based almost entirely on stereotype with a background of unnecessary foul language. MTG didn't provide a very strong point for our side by listing all those radio bands, but that's not indicative of classic rock as a whole. All you're going to get by asking for non-mainstream songs is good album cuts. You can search for that yourself.

I guess I could give you something easy like:
"Pigs (Three Different Ones)"-Pink Floyd
"Travelin' Man/Beautiful Loser"-Bob Seger
"Rocky Raccoon" or "Happiness is a Warm Gun"-Beatles
depending on what you dislike the least.

You can say AC/DC is good all you want, but chances are you either don't listen to music at all, and just say you like AC/DC because you know no other 12-14 year olds will argue with you, or you only listen to old rock and havn't heard anything better to give you an idea of just how shitty old rock is. Really, its all slow, boring repetative, unimaginative shit thats well past its prime, sure it was probably alright back in its days, and I can't blame you if you're 40 years old and like listening to it because its what you grew up with, but anyone younger then that is just another poser faggot with no musical tastes of his own.

Want better music? Listen to literally anything else. Country, rap, industrial, new metal, R&B EVERYTHING IS BETTER THEN OLDE FUCKING ROCK.

cawk, I was with you up to this. You dare criticize the classics? AC/DC, KISS, Aerosmith, and so on have made some of the best music ever (by the way, I'm 18, I know plenty of people twice my age that listen to them). Sure there are songs that I really don't care for, but to disregard an entire genre of actual music and then claim that rap has more of a right to music, you need to get your head out of your ass and rethink this through.

I only dragged age into because of the legions of 14 year olds with back in black shirts.

Nobody I know who listens to classic rock listens to anything else (except for occasionally rap), if any classic rock fans would like to change my mind about this, then name some other really good songs you know and like that aren't in the classic rock genre.

The one good thing about classic rock is that they pioneered metal, but that's still no reason to listen to them, imo they're just metal-lite.

i like many styles of music, most people who actually like music do, because if you listen to something enough and you can hear the melody being played you'll understand that music, the only type of music ive come across where it is difficult to do this is rap, since often the melody is very repetitive backing tracks, rap seems to be more about the beat, which often lacks complexity, and is focused on the lyrics, ive gotta admit i dont hear much rap, because the rap that is readily available is pretty bad in terms of lyrics, beat, and what melody they do have. htat said i have heard rap songs with very good melodies, with singers who could sing and i did enjoy it, people who bag out music styles are often only speaking from a lack of experience.

What a Moronic generalisation!
I have been listening to music since the seventies so was brought up on classic rock but since then have enjoyed a huge spectrum ranging from jazz and classical to indie and some hip hop. My son is 18 and grew up listening to my stuff so enjoys Zeppelin Bowie Neil Young Joni Mitchell Moody Blues REM Commodores etc as well as more contemporary music - many of his friends are the same.

This guy's not worth arguing with. This was supposed to be a good discussion about classic rock until this idiot, for no reason except to piss people off and be obstinate, came in with his stupid rants. I don't like rap music, but I wouldn't go into a rap music forum and start bashing it if people are just discussing their favorite artists. Cawck thinks he's winning these "debates" by calling people names and cursing because he doesn't have a large enough vocabulary to base a real argument. I'm sure calling people "faggots" and saying "you're wrong because I said so and I'm always right" would take you far in a courtroom. Now, back to the topic because I'm done with this guy, I don't think Kiss should be on there. I think they are highly overrated, but to each their own . Bands like the Stones and the Allman Brothers should be involved. i personally like Van Halen the best on that list, even though the brothers are apparently jerks and can't get along with anybody, but I would say that Led Zeppelin is the greatest overall.
I change by not changing at all.

I think the Stones was a major oversight and would put Springstein and Neil Young way ahead of Kiss or Aerosmith.

I have to agree that Kiss and Aerosmith shouldn't be up there and the fact that the only vote for either one of them came from a guy who had only heard of Aerosmith and none of the other bands proves it.

Excuse me? Did I say radio? I was listing the ALBUMS that I own, I listen to them rather then the radio. Such as Monsters of Rock, forgive me for liking classic rock, but that is me.

RESURRECTION. Sorry, I've been gone :)
He was complaining about generic taste, and 80's/arena rock kinda fits the bill. You just happened to list those types of bands... but maybe all this is just stemming from my loathing of the 80's in general  (Queen excluded...)

Basically rock music from around 1967 to the late 80's. And I realize your question is meant to be interpretive.
