I have someone asking me for advice on a new relationship. He says he really likes this girl he met and talks to her for hours online. He isn't sure of how to tell her that he likes her..what would you do ?

1 or 2. Depends on how shy the guy is and the girl. If the guy is really shy, he might want to go with two. If the girl might be alienated, or think she might be alienated by going right out and telling her, then also go with number two. Personally, I would probably go with two...

Though, I would probably beat around the bush and get to know her, to see how she would react to the first one/

Ok it's true. I love LaFawnduh Lucas and things have been getting pretty serious. I think I should take the next step.

The guy was prob talking about you by the way. It's a classic high school move, where you have a girl you are crushin on, but don't know how to tell her.... Watch, guaranteed in a few days he'll be like, "the girl I like is you" Or else he'll use the advice you give him on you.

Personally I prefer the straight forward approach- Slap her on the ass, if she doesn't get pissed then you are in

. lol. You'd be amazed how well that works in college.

wait I'm confused do they know eachother in real life and talk online or are they online-only acquantances?

if its the former then instead of going the awkward way and say he likes her I would just go directly and ask her if she wants to go somewhere friday night :wink:

I think it makes a big difference if he actually knows the girl (which I'm assuming but you didn't specify).

If he doesn't know her then he's probably chatting with a 45 year old man.

I find myself horrible at talking to girls that I like so I would probably make sure that she likes me too and then beat around the bush hinting to her to ask me out until she did.

btw i'd go with option one, even though i'm real shy. i think i got some hints from my first girlfriend that she had liked me, so i just took the risk. you might as well anyways, because most girls are shy, and the guy is traditionally supposed to make the first move..option 2 would be ok too, but you can't be way too subtle, otherwise she'll never be really sure and i don't think she'd do anything. i don't know how else to say that.

talking/flirting with girls online is lame.

He should try at least calling her on the phone or in real person first. I've found out that people are way different in real life then on the computer.

You're absolutely right. An online risk forum is not really the best place to get advice of this nature. I would say that the amount of time you spend here (pretty much every night) is a pretty good indication of how well you do with the ladies. "Slap her on the ass . . ." Brilliant!!
