I'll ask it again: What particular US unique trait sets the US apart from the entire rest of the world?

I don't remember addressing you. You are insistent in your ideology and it is evident by your recent posts. It is instructional for US kids to see how you justify your accusations. I'm going to continue to post reasons why I am happy to be living in the greatest country on earth.

I think I can list some great points for the US. Some things I've noticed is how giving the US actually is. When the Tsunami hit Thailand, we were the first there to help. Whenever there is a natural disaster in other countries we are one of the first countries to respond.

Racism? I don't know if anyone has said anything about his on here yet, but have more african americans that attend college in the US then all of Africa.

those are just a few. I'll put more back when I'm not in such a hurry.

I like the fact that there is such a variety of different cultures here. You can travel from one state to another and have a totally different experience. Even within each state you can go from one city to another and have such a great time.

I would have to say that Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year here.

I love our beer.

The U.S. microbrew industry now produces the best brew on the planet.

Now I say this with all due respect for our German, Belgian, Czech, English, Irish, Scotch, et all, brewers out there. Without their brewing expertise and cultural nuances, the Americans would not have been able to take the best ideas from around the brewing world and create what is now the best beer producing industry ever.
Now go figure, we actually have Jimmy Carter to thank for it too; for it was he who made homebrewing legal again back in 1979. So he wasn't a total loon.

They're scheduled to meet at the end of August, which will really be great. I love the American rivalries. American sports is awesome.

A truly great American guy. Some of my favorite quotes by him:

"If I ever find a pitcher who has heat, a good curve, and a slider, I might seriously consider marrying him, or at least proposing."

"I only had a high school education and believe me, I had to cheat to get that."

"I've changed my mind about it (DH) - instead of being bad, it stinks."

Actually, I think the evidence is there that I've NOT mastered the caps lock button... go back, read carefully, and see if you can point out the malfunction.

You guys have Sparky....
We had Billy:

I laid out my personal reasons on page 13. Other people have their own reasons.

Thanks for replying. I read them (again), but I failed to see which unique trait there is that makes the USA "greater" than any other nation. The things you mentioned are good things, well, 3 of 4 definitely are and I'm undecided about one of them since I feel I do not know enough facts to make up my mind on that particular issue. However, none of the things you mentioned is unique to the USA. So the question remains: What unique trait is there that makes the USA greater than all other coutnries?

Where?

Please post facts showing Americans consistently displaying these traits you mention.

How can you say that your entire nation are harder workers or are more detirmined than others? It defys all common sence. Humans are humans, no matter what nation or area they are born in. Some countries may stress particular traits or virtues above others as you seem to think America stresses hard work and detirmination, but this is really no more than any other developed country does.
