Yeh. I met him once when he was touring with Catch 22. I was in a local ska band supporting him when he played in Leicester. Was only 16 at the time. He came to the aftershow party for a bit too, and we chatted about Ennio Morricone soundtracks...[/quote]

I grew up in the alternative age, but I've long since abandoned that sound for the most part. It's inevitable, I suppose, the more music you hear the more fine-tuned your tastes become. Now I go back and hear something like Alice in Chains and wonder why I liked it so much in the first place...

Nowadays, here's my favorite artists. No particular order...

Of Montreal
Smashing Pumpkins
The Walkmen
Sleater-Kinney
David Dondero
White Stripes
Jonathan Coulton
Murder By Death
The Avett Brothers
I'm From Barcelona
Johnny Cash
The Beatles
The Boy Least Likely To
Bob Dylan
Modern Skirts
Mates of State
Iron & Wine
Jenny Lewis
Neutral Milk Hotel
Radiohead
Okkervil River
Tom Waits
Belle & Sebastian
Band of Horses
David Bowie
Decemberists
Flaming Lips
Arcade Fire
Yo La Tengo
Leonard Cohen
The Replacements
The Kinks
Blur
Beck
Andrew Bird
The New Pornographers
Modest Mouse
Midlake

...that's just off the top of my head, of course... :o

Dude! I can't believe that you listen to this stuff! You're like 17 or 18 are you not? That's amazing!

Yeah I'm 17, I still fail to see how it is suprising?

I'm assuming it's a good thing though.
