Wow! I can truly say I've never heard of them. Very Kraftwerek "pocket calcultor"esk (which can only be a good thing in my book!)

My contribution to this thread would have to be an authentic slice of Scottish life.

Brilliant! I liked the bloke in the comments section who took it a bit too seriously:

I hope you're not taking the piss. I have that on my ipod-thing.

Apropos of nothing, here's another (admittedly poor-quality) video I found recently. It's Mireille Mathieu singing La marseillaise, in 1989 (presumably on the 200th anniversary of the Revolution.) I don't really know who Mireille Mathieu is, but I just really liked this version.

Wow! I'm amazed anyone responded to that Mathieu video at all!

Kitsch - actually, that's the impression I got when I looked her up on Wiki.

But you must! Her hairstyle, the way she throws her head back every times she sings the line "aux armes, citoyens", and the video's weird Holy-Virgin-style veneration of her - it's fantastic. It makes me want to be French.

Another video I really like. It's a great Korean tune, from a great Korean film called Seopyonje. Unfortunately, there's no English subtitles. I would upload a version with subtitles, but I haven't figured out how to put clips off my DVDs onto Youtube yet.
