wow i've missed so much in just a few hours. did i miss somewhere in there a half-decent explanation from the mods about what changed their minds? i think fitz makes level-headed points as always, and hecter made a couple good ones that were obscured by some bad logic.
i just wanna say: of course i don't have all the tools of the mods. i can't even look at the games in question b/c they were deleted. all i have is what's in this thread. so here's the best evidence imo from it:
nietzsche claims he set up these games, but was waiting til he was in the mood to start them. he logged in and looked at them, noticed someone taking turns. proceeded to write something in chat about it. still didn't feel like actually starting any turns. that alone, of course, doesn't prove anything. but w/ further evidence, it becomes a bit fishy.
nietzsche logged in 3 more times that same nite (18 June) w/o taking his turns. hmmm, lots of logging in even though he wasn't in the mood to take any turns.
then he had to leave town unexpectedly. during the next 3 days, he checked his email at least once, but had "absolutely no time" to ask anyone (clockwork, scott, etc.) to take his turns for him. imo, this is damning. you can give the benefit of the doubt, but i think you have to be naively generous to do so. nietzsche would essentially have us belief: he was sick of CC and ready to leave. he set up 50 games w/ one of his best friends here. he had to leave for the exact 3 day deadbeat period. he had time to use a computer, check his email, possibly also check his CC pm's (i can't tell his exact meaning on that), but had no time to simply pm someone to take his turns in these games.
it reeks of utter bullshit to me. although this was moved to flame wars, i would appreciate some form of explanation from the mods, as if this was still an abuse-related topic. i did not flame in the other forum or make this a personal issue, i think an honest response is in order.
Care to come up with an original flame, instead of just regurgitating others'?
