Hey, it's been over two thousand years since Jesus went around making wine from water, walking on water and turning the tables over on the Republican money exchangers...when in the hell will we see the second coming?

Are you saying that the Jews do not deserve a place, a land, a country, to call their own?

The Jews have been given land, nearly all in a desert, and turned it into an oasis and a modern country. What did the Arab and Muslim population do with most of the land before the Jews? Not much.

What is the government in Israel now and then? A democracy. What about the Muslim and Bedouin and Arab populations? A kingdom and a dictatorship with NO free elections in Gaza since 2007. (I have discussed Gaza single election for Hamas already) in this thread.
What other religion has a country of its own?

Vatican City is a landlocked, independent, and enclaved country that is ruled by the Pope and the Holy See. It has a small area, population, and economy, but it is rich in religious and cultural heritage.

Catholicism is merely a doctrine of Christianity, I thought you might have known this.

Given it is Roman Catholicism you might expect an enclave in Rome? I don't imagine The Orange Order have residences there...

It's a bit like the City Of London is for capitalists.

So I ask again.

What other religion has a country of its own? :D

now you’re changing it to homeland.

I presume you are looking for a case where people have been displaced for not being true followers. One might suggest Islam has a few countries like that. Pakistan for example. I suspect there were, some people who had to move from homes their families had owned for generations, when that territory formalized as a country.

Strictly speaking no one was kicked out of India or Pakistan for being the wrong religion, they left as refugees due to the violence that was triggered by the partition. If partition had been handled differently it's entirely possible that Pakistan and India would have retained much larger Hindu/Muslim populations.

In some ways Pakistan wanting to be separate is similar to how Singapore carved itself out of Malaysia. That was done to create somewhere that ethnic Chinese people could feel safe, not to create a Chinese ethnostate.

Tons of them.

Saudi Arabia is a Sunni Muslim theocracy.
Iran is a Shiite Muslim theocracy.
Several other Arab countries, like Quatar and Yemen, are near-theocracies.
Several non-Arab countries are officially Islamic also, such as Pakistan and Malaysia.
(Altogether, there are 27 nations that officially proclaim themselves "Islamic". Twenty-seven!)
Bhutan, Cambodia, and Laos are all Buddhist nations.
A number of European nations have official churches even if their religion is not enforced -- Lutheranism in Denmark and Sweden, Anglicanism in England.
And of course the Vatican, as HR noted.
Some nations, such as Zambia, officially declare themselves to be "Christian" without specifying which Christian sect they adhere to.
Altogether, something like 50 nations are officially consecrated to a specific religion.

We should give the Zoroastrians a small country, maybe inside of what is now Palestine? I can't see anyone objecting to this

The genocide has passed a gruesome milestone today, with over 40,000 Gazans now confirmed killed by Israel's assault (numbers excluding the tens of thousands missing presumed dead).

Today Israel has killed at least 50 people in airstrikes on refugee camps, schools and houses, with children burned to death and so-called 'safe zones' attacked with tank fire:

The difference, of course, is that in each of these modern cases the state religion was declared recognizing the reality of what already existed. The modern Cambodian state declared itself a Buddhist kingdom at a time when 95% of its population was, in fact, Buddhist.

It didn't declare itself a Buddhist kingdom when 95% of its population was Lutheran and then import a ton of wealthy Buddhists from California and New York to displace the Lutherans.

The history of Cambodia is muddled due to the destruction of records by successive invaders. It does seem from what I've read, however, that the kings of Cambodia became Buddhist and proclaimed Buddhist kingdoms while most of the population was still Hindu. Furthermore, the decline of the Hindu majority was definitely accelerated by heavy (and quite intentional) immigration from Buddhist Vietnam during the 18th and 19th centuries, and by the infiltration of colonial Christian missionaries.

In brief, you're wrong.

With the scientific method we could certainly test it. The main thing we would try to establish early on is 'is he aware he is making this up, or are these actual hallucination (putting aside the issue of the potential divinity of the hallucinations for later testing). I'd start with a series of lie detector tests mostly to set some baselines to compare against later. Then we'd move towards antipsychotic meds (only ones approved for use by the Vatican) and look to measure his responses and to see if the hallucinations persist.

Of course this would all be dependent on hitred WANTING to prove it's god talking to him.

The Irish government has banned any Israeli companies from winning Irish defense or military contracts:

https://www.irishtimes.com/ireland/2024 ... -tanaiste/

Meanwhile the European Union is preparing to sanction two senior Israeli government ministers over genocidal comments they've made about Palestinians since the start of the invasion.

No one likes Israel and no one supports Israel, except a handful of cuckolded US politicians.
