I mean so what, Keith wrote a song about people drinking after the work week... Big deal, so have a thousand other musicians from all genres.

Still honestly perplexed about what Mookie and Duk see in that pretentious video.
• First Henry spouts some some racist/classist jibes about "poor white trash".
• Then he gets "sad & serious" because Keith wrote a song about drinking on a Friday Night (FAKE GASP!)*
• And he ends with another jab about how people in rural areas shouldn't invest in a pick-up trucks.

* This makes even less sense** when we know that other threads reveal that Mook and Duk are both active drinkers who celebrate the fact.

** Okay, maybe it does make sense ...if they were drunk-posting!

Bruh, I'm an iconoclast, you can't pigeonhole me. Just because i try and class this place up and create some standards (even if 2dimes doesn't appreciate them) doesn't make me a drunk. With that said, I do enjoy having drunks around! They are good for business and for morale.


I'm of two minds about this video, for it's place and time in history this series he did was both avant garde and pretty funny. While I don't think the humor has aged well, the message that the working class is kept down in part through being offered more debt than they can ever hope to climb out of in order to buy things to impress women is still prescient. At least for me the bit about beer and staying drunk was a sidenote. I'm not sure if I find it as profound now as when i was young but i have no regrets posting it.
