Probably. But the goal isn't really to put INBev outta business, it's to punish them enough that they start catering to the right. Iconic brands like Bud Light shape cultural morays. Pride Month would barely register on the radar if it wasn't for the 24/7 Allyship advertising companies barrage bomb the airwaves with.

The left's many outrage boycotts have never put anyone outta business but they've shaken out millions in corporate PAC donations and vapid statements of support.
Punish them by doing exactly what everyone else has complained about? Cancel culture?

You'd have to be Woke to interpret a question like that as either a wish or a threat. The way I read it, it's neither.

So there has definitely been a serious drop in Bud Light sales…. every media outlet reports this, though some numbers vary…

https://www.barrons.com/articles/bud-li ... h-62c34614
- 21% drop

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... lands.html
- 29% drop

https://www.newsweek.com/bud-light-back ... ta-1799487
- 23% drop with slip over to other Bud Brands

This certainly won’t put the parent corporation out of business. They own and produce so many different brands that your average consumer can;t keep track of what they own… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AB_InBev_brands

That all said… it definitely sends a message.

Too bad women won’t stand up for themselves and boycott other brands that use Dylan Mulvaney as a “spokesperson”. He also gets paid by Nike, for their women sports bras. Tampax… even though (as a man) he does not experience periods. Ulta Beauty… even though he’s still a man no matter how much make up he wears.

I am gratified to not that Boston is doing its’ part to Boycott Bud Light!

Go ahead and show you are a follower of Kid Rock and the other idiots.

No one has pointed out how this started. A little promotion that an aggressive self-promoter took advantage of and the ignorant Right media latched onto because they know how to rile up their ignorant bigots.
In early April, Bud Light sent an influencer named Dylan Mulvaney a handful of beers. Mulvaney, in turn, posted a video of herself dressed like Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, using said beers to celebrate both March Madness and her first year of womanhood. One of the cans featured her image. It was part of a paid sponsorship deal and promotion for some sort of sweepstakes challenge where people can win $15,000 from Bud Light by sending in videos of themselves carrying a lot of beers.

This made some people very mad, and not because Holly Golightly wasn’t really a beer gal (her preference was the White Angel, a boozy mix of vodka and gin, which, whew). Instead, they were upset because Mulvaney is transgender.

I would be more embarrassed to be boycotting a product because of those yahoos than over who else is using the product.

I mean hopefully not a single person whose opinion you value was ever drinking bud light.

as far as related brands go, if you are drinking beer and located on earth the odds that the beer in your hand is from Inbev is 1 in 4. This company is so big the IMF+Fed would bail it out if it started to fail.

This was a stupid move. Your average Bud Light drinker drinks it because they want to blend in and not stick out. You are one of the team/group etc and not outflashing one another with expensive craft beers. It's a drink that, in certain areas, is a leveling despite status. You can be rich or poor, the boss or the intern and you can settle up with a bucket of Buds and everyone enjoys the same. You would not join a group of Bud drinkers with a cosmo without expecting some ridicule. If you're drinking Bud, your choosing to be one of the group. Everyone knows it is horse filtered. Shut up and drink one anyway.

Mulvaney is a bad choice IRRESPECTIVE of gender. Mulvaney is an attention whore, divisive and beyond raising awareness....hasn't done shit, and didn't even know what March Madness was. Remember the Bud Bowl commercials....or the whassup guys....or the Budweiser frogs? It kindof underlines that the product is ok with not being sleek and fitting. This is your beer when you want to be not to bright or on point and it's ok. When it's not that message, it's scantily dressed girls, but not so much that it's divisive...because it's not. That's the point.

Mulvaney just doesn't fit. And to your average Bud drinker, their safe haven where I don't have to give a shit about what is politically correct or high society polite, just got ripped away. Now, Budweiser's been losing steam for a decade so I can understand why they would be getting desperate. The working class is constantly being targeted as the lesser class....but sometimes you just want to have a cold one after work without judgement and without making a message....and when that time has come, Bud has always been there.

Think on those ad campaigns....they were really deliberately about nothing. They were advertising that our beer stands for beer drinkers. That's all, and it's ok. It's not fucking stella saving water or some frothy belgian concoction....just have a beer and shut up.

Why is Bud in all the ballparks. It is a shitty beer....but it's enough to agree that we can all drink Bud and root for the home team. Going to the game and having beers is to get away from our hypersensitive world and go to a relaxing one. If Bud is going to decide it's platform is no longer being the King of beers, and has forgotten how/why it is the King of Beers....then stuff em. Miller Lite or Coors are fine substitutes.

Finally Mulvaney is divisive even in the LGBQT community....because she's an attention seeker. Your typical gay Bud drinker drinks for the same reason as your straight one. It's something that can be shared very very easily. Now Budweiser's gone and made a thing. Bring back the frogs.

Dude... #-o

Its being shamed now to drink just because a transgenders promoted it.

That's it. You could have skipped the 10 paragraphs written into that one sentence.

I'm being serious when i ask this; How does this hurt you, individually? Do you lose sleep over this? I mean really. THIS is the final straw? A promotional for av beer?

That’s the problem with people like you… the extreme view holders on BOTH sides of the political divide in the US.
You don’t expose yourselves to views from the other side and lock yourselves in your own echo-chambers.

I don’t hate transpeople… but I do hate the Woke agenda being pushed in us by Mass Media.

I just saw the Tom Hanks movie “A Man Called Otto” last night. Good movie… based on a novel.
In the movie there is a Trans character, a gentle push of this Woke narrative (I say gentle because it’s not critical to the story).

You might miss this little bump… pushing the narrative… but things like this accumulate.

I know the character, as portrayed in the movie, is not critical to the plot… because in the book there was no Trans character.
There were two characters, one who was gay, and these were merged to make this Trans character in the movie.
They could’ve merged the characters and kept him gay… but they know that the character being trans will hit the liberal touchy-feelies.

I'm being serious when i ask this; How does this hurt you, individually? Do you lose sleep over this? I mean really. THIS is the final straw? A promotional for av beer?
The beer thing doesn’t impact me directly. It’s just an example of a cultural change that I dislike.

There are other aspects of the Trans-Woke agenda that could impact me or the people I love.

I have a wife and daughters who use public restrooms… should they have to share these spaces with men?
What about women gyms or the “women only” areas of regular gyms?

I have daughters that compete in sports. Should they have to compete against biological men?
