SCRABBLE: Help a brother out!

Postby Jolly Roger on Wed Nov 13, 2019 9:13 pm

Good evening,

So I went on a date with an amazing woman last night...problem is we live in different cities. She really likes Scrabble so I was thinking we could play online as a way of staying in touch. Does anybody here know the best app or site for playing Scrabble online with another person?
I haven't been around in a while but used to frequent this place often and I thought, Who better to give advice on an online version of a boardgame than a bunch of people who play an online version of a boardgame? Anyway, come on, Forum know-it-alls, time to prove once again that you really do know it all

Also, I need the information urgently. Your response so far has been a little lackadaisical. I've been waiting here for 5 minutes!

My wife used to play Scrabble on pogo.com. It was huge for years, although it has taken a downward turn lately. Still probably worth a shot.

Words with Friends is what everyone does now. It's an infuriating app though.

Is Scrabble the best way to build a relationship here?

Phone calls, letters, gifts, flowers, driving to visit or meeting halfway.

Second the motion. The app does act wonky at times.

I know several people who play THAT (Words with Friends). I have also learned of other similar apps or games, but I do not play any of them. Have you looked into that?

And yes, Pogo is an option, too.

How are away does she live from you? How often do you see her in person?

Also, I agree with HitRed: Send flowers and call her and talk often. A text message is okay, but not as good a means to communicate, IMO.
